ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսի 33 անդամներ կոչ են արել ավելացնել Հայաստանին և ԼՂ-ին տրամադրվող ֆինանսական աջակցությունը

ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսի 33 անդամներ նամակ են ուղղել պետական, արտաքին գործողությունների և հարակից ծրագրերի հատկացումների ենթահանձնաժողովի նախագահ հանրապետական Քեյ Գրանգերին և հանձնաժողովի ավագ անդամ դեմոկրատ Նիտա Լոուիին՝ ներկայացնելով 2017թ-ի ԱՄՆ բյուջեում Հայաստանին, Լեռնային Ղարաբաղին և Սամցխե-Ջավախքին տրամադրվող ֆինանսական օժանդակության մասին իրենց առաջարկները: Ինչպես «Արմենպրես» -ին տեղեկացրին Ամերիկայի հայկական համագումարից, կոնգրեսականներն առաջարկում են 5 միլիոն դոլար հատկացնել Լեռնային Ղարաբաղին, 40 միլիոն դոլար տնտեսական օժանդակություն տրամադրել Հայաստանին, իսկ Վրաստանին տրամադրվող ողջ գումարի 10 տոկոսը հատկացնել Սամցխե-Ջավաքում աշխատատեղերի ստեղծման ծրագրերին:
Կոնգրեսականները նաև նշում են, որ հարկ է լիովին կասեցնել Բաքվին տրամադրվող ցանկացած ռազմական օգնություն: Մինչդեռ ավելի վաղ Օբամայի վարչակազմի կողմից հրապարակված 2017թ-ի բյուջեում, պահպանելով հավասարակշռությունը, արտաքին ռազմական ֆինանսավորման ծրագրի (FMF) շրջանակներում Հայաստանին և Ադրբեջանին տրամադրվում էր 1-ական միլիոն դոլար, և 600 հազարական դոլար էլ միջազգային ռազմական կրթության և վերապատրաստման նպատակով (IMET):
Առանձնահատուկ շեշտվում է Հայաստանին հավելյալ 10 միլիոն դոլարի տրամադրման անհրաժեշտությունը սիրիահայերի խնդիրների լուծման նպատակով:
Նամակի նախաձեռնողներն են Կոնգրեսում Հայկական հարցերի խմբի համանախագահներ դեմոկրատ Ֆրենկ Փալոունը և հանրապետական Ռոբերտ Դոլդը:
