Քաղաքակրթական հատկանիշներով ժողովուրդների նմանությունները դասակարգելը դառնում է արդիական ներկա օրերում: Նման հետազոտություններից շատերը պնդում են, որ հայերին պատմական տարբեր հատկանիշով ամենամոտ ժողովուրդը վրացիներն են: Այս պարզ իրողությունը գիտեն նաև մեր մյուս հարևանները(Ադրբեջան, Թուրքիա), որոնք ջանք ու եռանդ չեն խնայում հայերի ու վրացիների միջեւ ամեն տեսակի տարաձայնություններն ու հակասությունները փչելու-ուռճացնելու համար:

 


Վերջին շրջանում շատ է խոսվում հայ-վրացական եղբայրության դաստիարակության անհրաժեշտության, Հայոսի ու Քարթլոսի, պատմության դրական դասերը մոռանալ տալու, բացասական դասերը մատի փաթաթան դարձնելու, մերօրյա հայ-վրացական գործակցության համար նոր խորհրդանիշներ փնտրել-գտնելու, երկկողմ հարաբերությունները պատշաճ մակարդակի վրա մշտապես բարձր պահելու կարևորության մասին: Սրանք հարցեր են, որոնք վերջին համաշխարհային ցնցումների, իսլամական աշխարհի (այդ թվում շարունակվող ահաբեկչության) կտրուկ ակտիվացման ու նոր դժվարությունների պայմաններում նոր իմաստ և լրացուցիչ կարևորություն են ստանում:

 


Եվ ինչո՞ւ պետք է թույլ տալ, որ մեր միջև հակասությունները խորանային այն աստիճան, որ քրիստոնյա երկրում ապրող վրացիները սկսեին ոչնչացնել հայկական պատմամշակութայնի արժեքները այդ երկրում: Չպետք է մոռանալ, որ հայերի և վրացիների միջև պատմականորեն առկա է սերտ կապակցվածություն հատկապես գրական, գիտական մշակութային ոլորտներում:
Այնուամենայնիվ, պետք է փաստել, որ պատմականորեն այս երկու ժողովուրդները միմյանց հետ փոխկապակցված են բազմաթիվ հարցերում: Եվ ներկա աշխարհաքաղաքական զարգացման մարտահրավերներին պետք է համախմբված հանդես գան:
