Օրական երեք բաժակ թեյը 30 տոկոսով նվազեցնում է կոտրվածքների վտանգը, պարզել են Ավստրալիայից հետազոտողները:
Հետազոտության համաձայն, այդ ըմպելիքի սիրահարներն ավելի ամուր ոսկրեր ունեն, ինչը նվազեցնում է ցավոտ կոտրվածքների, ներառյալ` ազդրերի վտանգավոր վնասվածքների ռիսկը: Ավստրալացի հետազոտողները թեյի հզոր ազդեցության պատճառով առաջարկում են այն ներառել կոտրվածքների կանխարգելման դիետիկ միջոցների ցանկում:
Հետազոտության հեղինակները 10 տարվա ընթացքում հետեւել են գրեթե 1200 տարեց կնոջ առողջությանը: Միջինը 80 տարեկան կամավորները հետազոտության մեկնարկի պահին կանոնավորապես պատմել են իրենց սննդի մասին, եւ գիտնականների հատուկ ուշադրությանն է արժանացել օգտագործվող թեյի քանակությունը: Ամբողջ 10 տարվա ժամանակահատվածում կանայք ընդհանուր թվով 288 կոտրվածք են ունեցել, ներառյալ` ազդրի վզիկի 128 կոտրվածք:
Սակայն նրանք, ովքեր օրական երեք բաժակից ոչ պակաս էին թեյ խմում, գրեթե մեկ երրորդով ավելի հազվադեպ էին ոսկրի կոտրվածք ստանում նրանց համեմատ, ովքեր հազվադեպ էին թեյ խմում կամ ընդհանրապես չէին օգտագործում: Կարեւոր է այն, որ հետազոտության արդյունքները պահպանվել են ոսկրերի կոտրվածքների ռիսկի այլ գործոնների պարագայում` ներառյալ ծխելը եւ ֆիզիկական ծանրաբեռնվածության բացակայությունը, որոնք եւս մանրազնին կերպով հաշվի էին առնվում:
Գիտնականները կարծում են, որ բուսական ֆլավոնոիդները, որոնք պարունակվում են թեյում, ամրապնդում են ոսկրերը նոր բջիջների կառուցման արագացման շնորհիվ, ինչը դանդաղեցնում է արդեն գոյություն ունեցող բջիջների էրոզիայի գործընթացը:
