Վարդան Սարգյանն վերջերս է վերադարձել Երևան, այս ընթացքում նա նկարահանում էր «Տնից հեռու» հաղորդման նոր թողարկումները:BlogNews.am-ի հետ զրույցում նա պատմել է, որ եղել է Շրի Լանկայում, Վիետնամում ,Մալազիայում, Թայլանդում և Մալդիվյան կղզիներում. «Վերջապես վերադարձա ծանրաբեռնված ճանապարհորդությունից: Իմ էջի հետևողները վստահ եմ` ասում են երանի նրան, բայց ես նման ծանրաբեռնված գրաֆիկ երբեք չէի ունեցել, մեր հյուրանոցը ինքնաթիռն էր դարձել. ստիպված էինք լինում մի չորս ժամ օրվա մեջ քնել ինքնաթիռում, իսկ հասնելուն պես սկսել նկարահանումները: Մոտ քսան օրվա մեջ տաս թռիչք ենք ունեցել: Ինձ թվում էր` գոնե Մալդիվներում կվայելեմ հանգիստս, բայց արի ու տես, որ ոչ: Ես նույնիսկ տաս րոպե չեմ հասցրել երկու օրվա ընթացքում հանգստանալ: Կարևորը նկարահանեցինք այն, ինչի համար մեկնել էինք»:
Ինչպես Վարդանն է պատմում, նկարահանման ընթացքում վտանգավոր և տհաճ պահեր շատ են եղել. «Առաջին երկիրը, որ կցուցադրենք այս կիրակի կլինի Վիետնամը: Վիետնամը նկարահանում կատարելու համար շատ հետաքրքիր երկիր է, բայց խոհանոցն անհասկանալի վատն էր և ոչինչ դուրս չէր գալիս: Չէր կարողանում ընտելանալ այն մտքի հետ, որ խոզի մսի վրա կարող է շաքարավազ լինել, կամ բադին մորթելուց հետո հարկավոր է խմել արյունը ինչ-որ համեմունքով»:
Ամենադաժանը և սարսափելին Վարդանի համար օձի ռեստորանում էր. «Ես պետք է նկարահանեի ամբողջ ընթացքը` օձին մորթելու և նրանից տասնմեկ տեսակի կերակրատեսակ պատրաստելու: Սկսեցինք նկարահանումները և ընտրեցինք կոբրա, առաջինը կտրեցին նրա սիրտը, որը դեռ երկար բաբախում էր բաժակի մեջ: Անմիջապես հետո տաք արյունը դատարկեցին բաժակի մեջ և ստիպեցին խմել: Աչքերիս չէի հավատում, որ ես խմում էի օձի արյուն, բայց սիրտը կուլ տալ չկարողացա: Ի դեպ այսպիսի իրավիճակներում շատ եմ հայտնվել, բայց դրանց մասին հետո»:
