ԱՄՆ-ի եւ Կուբայի միջեւ «սառը պատերազմի» ավարտ Է համարել The Washington Post թերթն այս երկու երկրների միջեւ երկկողմ դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունների վերականգնումը:
Միացյալ Նահանգների եւ Կուբայի միջեւ «սառը պատերազմը» պաշտոնապես ավարտվեց 54 տարի, 6 ամիս եւ 17 օր հետո եկու երկրների միջեւ դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունների վերականգնմամբ եւ միմյանց մայրաքաղաքներում դեսպանատների կրկնական բացմամբ»,- հուլիսի 20-ին ընդգծել Է թերթն իր Էլեկտրոնային տարբերկաում, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը:
Թերթը նաեւ ուշադրություն Է հրավիրել Վաշինգտոնում ԱՄՆ-ի պետքարտուղար Ջոն Քերիի եւ Կուբայի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Բրունո Ռոդրիգեսի բանակցությունների արդյունքների վերաբերցյալ մամուլի համար համատեղ ելույթին: Արտաքին քաղաքական գերատեսչությունների ղեկավարները «միմյանց են դիմել անուններով» եւ ժամանակ առ ժամանակ անցել «միմյանց լեզվին», նշել Է հրատարակությունը:
Միեւնույն ժամանակ, հավելել Է The Washington Post-ը, «երկու կառավարությունները պարզորոշ հասկանալ են տվել, որ իրենց միջեւ մնում Է խորը պառակտումը մի շարք հարցերի գծով, ներառյալ ԱՄՆ-ին ուղղված՝ Կուբայի պահանջը վերացնելու առեւտրային բռնարգելքը եւ հրաժարվելու Գունատանամոյի ամերիկյան ռազմածովային կայանից», հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
