Ռուսական A321 ինքնաթիռի կործանման մեջ Եգիպտոսն իրեն մեղավոր չի համարում: Եգիպտոսն ինքն է դարձել այդ ողբերգության զոհը: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, հղում կատարելով «ՌԻԱ Նովոստի»-ին, այս մասին հայտարարել է Եգիպտոսի Արտաքին գործերի նախարար Սամեհ Շուկրին:
«Մենք այդ ողբերգության զոհն ենք: Երբեմն մենք զգում ենք, որ մեզ դիտարկում են այնպես, կարծես թե, մենք ենք մեղավոր: Մեր մեղքը չկա: Անհրաժեշտ է ձեռնարկել բոլոր հնարավոր միջոցները, որպեսզի պարզվի, թե ինչու է ինքնաթիռն ընկել: Մենք ձեռքներս ծալած չենք նստում, և ձեռնարկել ենք բոլոր անհրաժեշտ միջոցառումները` ապահովելով բարձր մակարդակի անվտանգություն նրա համար, որ հանգստացնենք զբոսաշրջիկներին»,-ասել է Եգիպտոսի ԱԳՆ ղեկավարը:
Ռուսական ինքնաթիռի հետ կապված խոշոր ավիավթարը տեղի է ունեցել հոկտեմբերի 31-ին 2015 թվականին: Շարմ էլ Շեյխից Սանկտ Պետերբուրգ մեկոնղ ինքնաթիռում պայթյուն էր գրանցվել: Ինքնաթիռում գտնվող 217 ուղևորն ու անձնակազմի 7 անդամները մահացել էին: Եգիպտոսի զբոսաշրջության ոլորտը զգալի վնաս է կրել:
