Իրանն ընթացիկ տարվա հունվարից ի վեր ԱՄՆ Է արտահանել 32 տոննա ծանր ջուր, որն օգտագործվել Է համապատասխան տիպի միջուկային ռեակտորներում: Այդ մասին, հաղորդել Է Associated Press գործակալությունը՝ վկայակոչելով Իրանի զանգվածային լրատվամիջոցները:
Իրանի արտաքին գործերի փոխնախարար Աբաս Արաքչին հայտարարել Է, որ ծանր ջրի պաշարները «վաճառվել են» ԱՄՆ-ին, հաղորդել Է ISNA գործակալությունը: Գործարքի ֆինանսական ասպեկտի մասին նա չի հիշատակել: Նա նաեւ չի ասել, թե ինչու են պաշարներն արտահանվել միայն ԱՄՆ, այլ ոչ թե «վեցյակի» այլ երկրներ, որոնք մասնակցել են իրանական միջուկային ծրագրի շուրջը գործարքի կնքմանը:
