Արմեն Պետրոսյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրում է.
Մեծ հավանականությամբ՝ մերօրյա խալիֆայությունը՝ «Իսլամական պետություն» (ԻՊ) իսլամական ծայրահեղ արմատական կազմակերպությունը, նույնպես կարժանանա դարեր առաջ գոյություն ունեցած իր նախորդների ճակատագրին. պատմագիտական եզրաբանությամբ՝ այն կփլուզվի «ներքին ապստամբություններից» և «օտար նվաճողների արշավանքներից»:
Բանն այն է, որ անցյալ շաբաթվա վերջին տարածաշրջանային և միջազգային մի շարք լրատվամիջոցներ, հղում կատարելով Սիրիայում ԻՊ-ի «մայրաքաղաքը» հանդիսացող ալ-Ռակա քաղաքում ունեցած սեփական աղբյուրներին, նշում են, որ մի քանի հարյուր քաղաքացիներ, դժգոհելով ԻՊ-ի զինյալների գործելաոճից, հրաժարվել են ենթարկվել կառույցի կողմից հաստատված կարգուկանոնին, գրավել են քաղաքի մի քանի թաղամասեր և այնտեղ բարձրացրել Սիրիայի Արաբական Հանրապետության դրոշը: Նշվում է նաև, որ ըմբոստ քաղաքացիներին են միացել ԻՊ-ի ղեկավարության հետ խնդիրներ ունեցող կառույցի հարյուրավոր զինյալներ:
Մյուս կողմից, արդեն պաշտոնական աղբյուրների հավաստմամբ՝ դեռևս առանց ավելորդ շտապողականության ալ-Ռակայի դեմ են շարժվում հյուսիս-արևմուտքից ԱՄՆ-ի հովանավորությունը վայելող «Սիրիական ժողովրդավարական ուժեր» կոչված կոալիցիոն կառույցի՝ քրդերից, արաբներից, ասորիներից կազմված ստորաբաժանումներն, իսկ հարավ-արևմուտքից և հարավից՝ սիրիական կառավարական ուժերն ու նրանց հարող զորամիավորումները: Բացի այդ, իրաքյան իշխանությունները և ԱՄՆ-ի գլխավորած կոալիցիան ևս պաշտոնապես հայտարարել են արդեն Իրաքում ԻՊ-ի կենտրոնը հանդիսացող Մոսուլ քաղաքի ազատագրման ռազմագործողության մեկնարկի մասին:
Այսպիսով, եթե սիրիական հակամարտության շրջանակներում գերտերությունների միջև նկատվող փոխգործակցության դրական միջավայրը պահպանվի, և ճգնաժամի՝ ակնկալվող քաղաքական կարգավորման հետ կապված առկա միտումները շարունակվեն, ապա մեծ հավանականությամբ ականատես կլինենք մերօրյա խալիֆայության «անկմանը». ԻՊ-ը կդադարեցնի իր գոյությունն առնվազն այն տեսքով, որն ունի ներկայում:
