Օրինակ՝ կարտոֆիլի ձողիկները – ֆրի կոչեցյալը, խորը սառեցված կիսաֆաբրիկատ է: Այն շատ համեղ է երբ  վերատաքացնում ենք  մինչև ձողիկների ծայրերի կարմրելը և խրթխրթան դառնալը: Սակայն այս գործընթացի համար, եթե որպես միջոց ընտրենք միկրոալիքային վառարանը, ապա այն կարտոֆիլի կտորտները ընդամենը կտաքացնի և կփափկացնի: Իսկ որպեսզի ունենանք ցանկալի արդյունք՝ մի քիչ ավելի կոշտ և կարմրած ֆրի, ապա ճիշտ կլինի օգտագործել երկաթե ցանց, որը պետք է ընկղմել տաքցած ձեթով ամանի մեջ, ապա մեջը լցնել սառած ֆրին: Տասը րոպե հետո այն պատրաստ է՝ կարմիր և խրթխրթան:
