Դերսիմահայ Միհրան Փրկիչ Գյուլթեքին կարծում է, որ Թուրքիայի այսօրվա քաղաքականությունը չի փոխվել, այն շարունակում է Արևմտյան Հայաստանում ապրող հայերին ու քրդերին վտարել` արտասահմանում ապրող թուրքմեններին վերաբնակեցնելով: «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ` Երևանում մարտի 2-ին լրագրողների հետ հանդիպմանը այս մասին խոսեց տարիներ առաջ հայկական ինքնությանը վերադարձած Միհրան Փրկիչը: «Այսօր Թուրքիայում պատերազմ է տեղի ունենում քրդերի ու թուրքերի միջև, սակայն ամեն առիթով հայերի անունն է առաջ գալիս: Այս պայմաններում ծպտյալ հայերը փորձում են ավելի ծածուկ պահել իրենց ինքնությունը: Թուրքական պետությունն էլ շարունակ հայերի անունը փորձում է օգտագործել այս պայքարի շրջանակներում, փաստորեն կուժը միշտ էլ ջարդվում է հայերի վրա»,-ասաց դերսիմահայը:

Ինչ վերաբերում է Թուրքիայում ծպտյալ հայերի թվին, Միհրան Փրկիչ Գյուլթեքին նշեց, որ, ըստ որոշ կարծիքների, նրանք 3-4 միլիոն են: «Արևմտյան Հայաստանում ծպտված հայերի թվի մեծությունը գալիս է նրանից, որ նրանք այնտեղ ճնշված են ապրում, իսկ, երբ որոշում են բացահայտել իրենց ինքնությունը, դժվարություններ են ունենում: Դրա համար էլ գաղտնի են պահում, բայց, երբ անհատական զրույցներ ենք վարում, նրանք շատ հանգիստ իրենց բացահայտում են ու ասում են, որ հայեր են»,-ասաց բանախոսը:

Միհրան Փրկիչ Գյուլթեքին քրիստոնեություն ընդունել է 6 տարի առաջ, 3 տարի առաջ էլ կինը` Կարին Գյուլթեքին է մկրտվել: Նրանք պատրաստվում են բնակություն հաստատել Հայաստանում:
