Հայաստան-Եվրոպական միություն կապերի խթանման գործում իրենց ուրույն տեղն ունեն մարդկային շփումները: ՀՀ նախագահական նստավայրում լրագրողների հետ հանդիպմանն այս մասին ասաց ՀՀ ԱԳ նախարար Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանը՝ ամփոփելով ԵՄ բարձր ներկայացուցիչ Ֆեդերիկա Մոգերինիի հետ հանդիպման արդյունքները: «Մեր քաղաքացիների ազատ շարժունակությունը դիտարկում ենք որպես կարևոր գործոն՝ մեր հասարակություններն իրար ավելի մոտ դարձնելու համար: Արդեն երկու տարուց ավել է, ինչ գործում են ԵՄ-Հայաստան մուտքի արտոնագրային ռեժիմի դյուրացման և հետընդունման համաձայնագրերը, և մենք համոզված ենք, որ հասունացել է պահը՝ առաջ գնալու և սկսելու մուտքի արտոնագրային ռեժիմի ազատականացման շուրջ երկխոսությունը»,-«Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ ընդգծեց Նալբանդյանը:
Հանդիպման ընթացքում անդրադարձ է եղել նաև մի շարք հրատապ միջազգային, տարածաշրջանային խնդիրների։ «Մտքեր փոխանակեցինք Մերձավոր Արևելքում, Սիրիայում տիրող իրավիճակի շուրջ։ Շեշտեցինք ահաբեկչության դեմ պայքարում միջազգային հանրության ջանքերը համախմբելու կարևորությունը, տարածաշրջանում փոքրամասնությունների իրավունքների պաշտպանության անհրաժեշտությունը։ Այդ համատեքստում մենք ողջունեցինք ՄԱԿ-ի անվտանգության խորհրդի կողմից ի աջակցություն Սիրիայում հրադադարի հաստատման ընդունված բանաձևը»,- հավելեց նախարարը:
ՀՀ ԱԳ նախարարը հավելեց նաև, որ քննարկել են միգրացիոն ճգնաժամը և փախստականների հոսքերին առնչվող հարցեր։ «Մենք տեղեկացրինք, որ Հայաստանում ապաստանել է Սիրիայից ժամանած շուրջ քսան հազար փախստական. այդպիսով, մեր երկիրը հանդիսանում է բնակչության թվի հարաբերակցությամբ՝ սիրիացի փախստականներ ընդունած երրորդ պետությունը Եվրոպայում: Մենք արժևորում ենք այս հարցում ԵՄ կողմից Հայաստանին հնարավոր օժանդակության ցուցաբերումը»,- եզրափակեց Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանը:
