Չգիտեմ, թե Խոջալուի ողբերգական իրադարձությունների հետ կապված ադրբեջանցիների կողմից կազմակերպված կոնկրետ ինչ կարգի միջոցառման է մասնակցել դեսպան Ուորլիքը և, ինձ նաև հայտնի չէ, թե արդյոք նա երբևէ մերժել է սումգայիթյան ցեղասպանության զոհերի ոգեկոչման արարողությանը մասնակցելու հայկական կողմի որևէ հրավեր, ուստի խնդիրը կդիտարկեմ զուտ առկա իրավա-քաղաքական իրողությունների հիման վրա:
Բանն այն է, որ «Խոջալուի զոհերի հիշատակի օրը» Ադրբեջանի պետականորեն հաստատված պաշտոնական արարողակարգային միջոցառում է, իսկ Հայաստանում պաշտոնապես նշվող հիշատակի օրերի ցանկում Սումգայիթի եղեռնը որևէ հիշատակման չի արժանացել և, այսպիսով, օտարերկրյա մեր գործընկերներն «ազատված» են այդ ոճրագործությանը նվիրված արարողակարգային միջոցառումներին պարտադիր մասնակցությունից, քանի որ այդպիսիք պարզապես չեն անցկացվում: Խոջալուն մատի փաթաթան սարքվեց, որպեսզի հնարավոր դառնա հակամարտության իրական ժամանակագրությունը, պատմությունն ու էությունը հանուն ադրբեջանական շահերի խեղելը, իսկ մենք, տարօրինակաբար, շարունակում ենք ամեն ինչ անել, որպեսզի քաղաքական մակարդակում մոռացության մատնվեն հիմնական զոհերի՝ փախստական ադրբեջանահայերի կրած տանջանքները, ոտնահարված իրավունքներն ու շահերը:
Մեր հակառակորդի քաղաքական զոռբայությունն իսկապես շատ արդյունավետ է, եթե անգամ մեր լրագրողներն են այժմ կարծում, որ այս հարցում երբևէ հավասարակշռություն է եղել ու այժմ էլ ամերիկացի համանախագահն այն չարամտորեն խախտել է հօգուտ ադրբեջանական կողմի՝ իրենց անմեղ զոհերին մերոնցից գերադասելով: Այս իրավիճակի հիմնական մեղավորները մենք ենք, քանի որ զլացանք պաշտպան կանգնել մեր հայրենակիցներին և, բացի լացակումած ու դառնահառաչ հանդիմանանքները որպես անհաջող քարոզչության միջոց օգտագործելու հատուկենտ փորձերից, պետական մակարդակում չկարողացանք կամ չցանկացանք իրավական և քաղաքական հետևանքներ նախատեսող որևէ գործողություն նախաձեռնել:
