Պարզվում է՝ բացի մեզ քաջ հայտնի «հետերո», «հոմո» եւ «բի» սեքսուալ տիպերից, աշխարհում գոյություն ունեն տասնյակ սեռական կողմնորոշման տիպեր, որոնք արտացոլում են մարդկանց սեռական նախընտրությունները։ Դրանցից ոմանք բացական առանձնահատուկ են։
1. Ասեքսուալություն
Ասեքսուալները մարդիկ են, ովքեր սեռական ցանկություն չեն զգում ընդհանրապես։ Սա կարելի է ասել, գիտակցաբար սեռական կյանքից հրաժարվել է։ Ասեքսուալները երբեմն կարող են ինչ-ինչ պատճառներով զբաղել սեքսով, օրինակ՝ հղիանալու կամ հղիացնելու համար, սակայն դրանից ոչինչ չեն զգում։
2. Առոմանտիկություն
Առոմանտիկները ասեքսուալների հակառակն են։ Եթե ասեքսուալները ռոմանտիկ հակումներ ունեն, սակայն ոչ սեռական, ապա առոմանտիկները ոչ մի էմոցիա չեն զգում, սակայն սեքսով զբաղվում են՝ սպորտի նման։
3. Գրեյսեքսուալություն
Գրեյսեքսուալները մարդիկ են, ովքեր սովորական եւ ասեքսուալ մարդկան մեջտեղում են գտնվում։ Նրանք սեքսով զբաղվում են միայն կախված տրամադրություն, սեռական ցանկություն զգում են միայն կոնկրետ տիպի բնավորության կամ արտաքին ունեցող մարդկանց հանդեպ։ Նրանք կարող են թե հետերո, թե հոմոսեքսուալ լինել։
4. Դեմիսեքսուալություն
Դեմիսեքսուալները մարդի են, ովքեր սեռական ցանկություն չեն զգում, մինչեւ որ կոնկրետ մարդու հետ խիստ չկապվեն հոգեպես։
5. Դեմիրոռոմանտիկություն
Նման են դեմիսեքսուալներին, մինչեւ խիստ չկապվեն մարդու հետ, նրա հանդեպ ոչ մի զգացմունք չունեն։
6. Պանսեքսուալություն
Պանսեքսուալները մարդիկ են, ովքեր գրավվում են բոլոր տեսակի մարդկանցով՝ անկախ նրանց սեռից կամ կողմնորոշումից։
7. Պոլիսեքսուալություն
Նրանք կարող են անտարբեր լինել իրենց զուգընկերոջ սեռի հանդեպ, սակայն բաց են։ Օրինակ, կարող են իրենց սեռի հանդեպ ոչինչ չզգալ, բայց տարվել տրանսգենդերով։
8. Պանռոմանտիկություն
Նրանք տարվում են բոլոր տիպի սեռերով, բայց միայն ռոմանտիկ հակումներով, սեռականությամբ, առանց սեքսի։
9. Լիտրոռոմանտիկություն
Նրանք մեծ զգացմունքներ են ունենում ինչ-որ մեկի հանդեպ, սակայն փոխադարձ սեր չեն ցանկանում ստանալ։
10. Սկոլիոսեքսուալություն
