Աշխարհում կան մարդիկ, ովքեր գիտակցաբար հրաժարվել են ինտիմ հարաբերություններից: Նրանց կոչվում են ասեքսուալներ: Դրանց պատճառները կարող են շատ տարբեր լինել՝ հին կարծրացած զգացմունքային տրավմաներ, բնավորության առանձնահատկություն, օրինակ, ցանկություն հասնել ոգու և հոգեկանի որոշակի մակարդակի: Սակայն նման մարդիկ երբեմն ցանկանում են ունենալ ընտանիք:

Ինչպես են դառնում ասեքսուալներ

Սեռական հարաբերություննեից հրաժարվելու պատճառները կարող են լինել մի քանիսը: Ամենածանրը ֆիզիկական հիվանդությունն է: Մարմնի ստորին հատվածի կաթվածը, անկարողությունը, միզասեռական համակարգի հիվանդությունները կարող են սեռական գրգռվածություն չզգալու պատճառ հանդիսանալ: Դա պարտադրված հրաժարում է, սակայն մարդիկ աստիճանաբար սկսում են հասկանալ, որ դա կարելի է փոխարինել այլ բաներով: Կան նաև մարդիկ, որոնց սեռական հարաբերությունները չեն հետաքրքրում: Այն կարող է հաճույք չպատճառել և անգամ տհաճ ու «կեղտոտ» թվալ: Հաճախ նման մարդիկ ամուսնացած են, ունեն երեխաներ, սակայն սեռական հարաբերություններ ունեցել են միայն երեխաներ ունենալու համար և հետո դրանից հրաժարվել են:

Նման հարաբերություններ հաճախ ծագում են այն զույգեր մեջև, ովքեր մեծահասակ տարիքում են ամուսնանում և առաջնահերթ ու կարևոր են համարում հոգևոր կապը: Սեռական հարաբերություններից հրաժարման պատճառ կարող են հանդիսանալ տհաճ զգացողությունները: Ցավը, դիսկամորտը, ամոթը, խղճի խայթը և այլ ֆիզիկական ու հոգեկան խնդիրները մի շարք մարդկանց համար սեռական հարաբերությունները դարձնում են ոչ ցանկալի: Նրանք չեն ցանկանում վերապրել նման զգացողություններ, և փոխարենը կարևորում են այլ հարարաբերությունները:

Պատահում են նաև դեպքեր, երբ մարդ սեռական հաճույք ստանում է ինքնուրույն, մենակության մեջ, իսկ զուգընկերոջ հետ չի ստանում: Այդ դեպքերում մարդ բավարարվում է ինքնաբավարարմամբ: Հոգևոր կյանքը երբեմն նույնպես պահանջում է սեռական կյանքից հրաժարում:

Ասեքսուալների հարաբերությունները

Ասեքսուալությունը դա միայն սեռական հարաբերություններց հրաժարումն է, սակայն այն չի ենթադրում հակառակ սեռի ներկայացուցչի հետ շփման բացառում: Շատ ասեքսուալներ սիրահարվում են, ամուսնանում են, սակայն կառուցում են յուրահատուկ հարաբերություններ: Առանց սեռական հարաբերությունների հոգևոր կողմը մղվում է առաջին պլան: Հոգեպես մտերիմ, իդեալական զուգընկերներ, սիրող մարդիկ՝ այդպես կարելի է նկարագրել սեռական հարաբերություններ չունեող զույգերի հարաբերությունը: Եթե երկու կողմերին էլ դա ձեռնտու է՝ հաճախ դրանք երկարատև և կայուն հարաբերություններ են լինում՝ հիմնված փոխադարձ վստահության, փոխըմբռնման և հավատարմության վրա: Իհարկե այդպիսի հարաբերությունները նման են եղբոր և քրոջ հարաբերություններին:

Կան նաև զույգեր, որոնցից միայն մեկն է ասեքսուալ: Այդ դեպքում մարդիկ ցանկանում են լինել միասին, ապրում են միասին, դաստիարակում են երեխաների, ունեն համատեղ ծրագրեր: Բայց ոչ ասեքսուալ անդամը հնարավորություն է գտնում սեռական բավարարվածություն փնտրել դրսում: Եվ դա չի համարվում դավաճանություն: Հաճախ ասեքսուալը գիտի իր զույգի սեռական կյանքի մասին և հաճախ աջակցում է նրան: Ասեքսուալությունը պետք չէ շփոթել հակասեքսուալության հետ: Վերջիններս բացառում են սեռական հարաբերությունները և իրենց այդ գաղափարը ակտիվորեն քարոզում են ամենուր: Իսկ ասեքսուալները դեմ չեն սեռական հարաբերություններին, պարզապես իրենք դրանով զբաղվել չեն ցանկանում:
