ՀՅԴ խմբակցության քարտուղար Աղվան Վարդանյանը կմիանա Վարդկես Գասպարիի խափանման միջոցը փոխելու պատգամավոր Էլինար Վարդանյանի կողմից կազմակերպած ստորագրահավաքին: Լրագրողների հետ զրույցում դաշնակցական Վարդանյանը, սակայն, կարծիք հայտնեց, թե չէր ուզենա, որ յուրաքանչյուր կոնկրետ դեպք, առանց իմանալու գործի հանքամանքերը, միանգամից պիատակավորեր:
 
«Եկեք մի դեպք, առանց մասնագիտական, իրավականան և բոլոր հարցերին տեղեկանալու, չդարձնենք մատի փաթաթան»,- ասաց Աղվան Վարդանյանը: Վերջինս, պատասխանելով հարցին, թե գալիք խորհրդարանական ընտրություններին ՀՅԴ-ն ՀՀԿ-ի միասնական ցուցակո՞վ է ներկայանալու, թե՞` առանձին (հաշվի առնելով նաև այն փաստը, որ նախորդ ընտրություններին ընդամենը 5% ձայն են հավաքել), Վարդանյանը նախ հորդորեց գնահատականներում օբյեկտիվ լինել ապա հավելեց. «Ի՞նչ է նշանակում իշխանությա՞ն հետ, թե՞` առաձին: Վերջին երկու ընտրություներում` 2007 թ-ի, Դաշնակցությունը հավաքել է 178.000 ձայն, որը 14% էր և վերջին ընտրություններին 12.000 ձայն` 5 ու մի քիչ ավելի տոկոս: Այդ արդյունքի մասին ես տարիներ շարունակ մանրամասն ասել եմ` ինչպես է գոյացել, ներկայացրել եմ, թե ինչու է այդպես եղել: Վստահ եմ, որ այն խնդիրները, որոնք դրված են քաղաքական համաձայնագրի հիմքում, որը նաև պետք է կոնկրետ դրսևորումներ ունենա, կազդեն մեր երկրի և մեր քաղաքացիների վրա՝ հույս, ակնկալիք, աշխատանք և այդ պարագայում ձեզ վստահեցնում եմ, որ հաջորդ ընտրություններում Դաշնակցության տեսակարար կշիռը ԱԺ-ում շատ ավելի բարձր կլինի»,- եզրափակեց դաշնակցական Վարդանյանը:
