 ԱՄՆ-ն օրվա ընթացքում ՄԱԿ-ի Անվտանգության խորհրդում կտարածի ԿԺԴՀ-ի նկատմամբ պատժամիջոցների ընդլայնման բանաձեւի նախագիծը: Այս մասին, հայտնել Է ՄԱԿ-ում ԱՄՆ-ի մշտական ներկայացուցչության պաշտոնական ներկայացուցիչ Քյորտիս Քուփերը:

«ՄԱԿ-ում ԱՄՆ-ի մշտական ներկայացուցիչ Սամանթա Փաուերը մտադիր Է Անվտանգության խորհրդի քննարկմանը ներկայացնել պատժամիջոցների բանաձեւի նախագիծ՝ իրականացված միջուկային փորձարկման եւ այնուհետեւ բալիստիկ հրթիռի արձակման պատճառով»,- մեջբերում Է դիվանագետի խոսքը Reuters գործակալությունը:

Փետրվարի 7-ին ԿԺԴՀ-ն «տիեզերքի խաղաղ հետազոտման նպատակով» Սոհե (Թոնչհան-նի) փորձարկադաշտից արձակել Է տանող հրթիռ՝ «Քվանմյոնսոն-4» («Փայլող աստղ-4») Երկրի արհեստական արբանյակով, եւ այն դուրս Է բերել ուղեծիր: Հունվարի 6-ին հանրապետության իշխանությունները հայտարարել Էին «ինքնապաշտպանության նպատակով» ջրածնային ռումբի հաջող փորձարկման մասին:

Ավելի վաղ հաղորդվել Է, որ ԱՄՆ-ի պետքարտուղար Ջոն Քերին եւ Չինաստանի ԱԳ նախարար Վան Ին փետրվարի 23-ին Վաշինգտոնում քննարկել են Կորեական թերակղզու միջուկազերծման շուրջը վեցակողմ (Ռուսաստան, ԱՄՆ, Չինաստան, երկու Կորեաներ եւ Ճապոնիա) բանակցությունների շրջանակներում ԿԺԴՀ-ին բանակցությունների վերադարձնելու հնարավորությունները:

Վան Ին հայտնել Է ԿԺԴՀ-ի վերաբերյալՄԱԿ-ի բանաձեւի շուրջն ընթացող կնսուլտացիաներում ձեռք բերված զգալի առաջընթացի մասին:        

«ՄԱԿ-ի Անվտանգության խորհուրդը կոնսուլտացիաներ Է անցկացնում ԿԺԴՀ-ի նկատմամբ նոր բանաձեւի շուրջը: Ես կցանկանայի Ձեզ ասել կոնսուլտացիաների ընթացքում զգալի առաջընթացի հասնելու մասին,- նշել Է նա:- Մենք քննարկում ենք արդեն մոտ ապագայում բանաձեւի նախագծի շուրջը համաձայնության հասնելու հնարավորությունը», հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
