«Հակամարտությունը կարող է ընդլայնվել». Ջեյմս Ուորլիքը՝ ԼՂՀ-ի հարցով բանակցությունների մասին

Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության կարգավորմանն ուղղված ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի աշխատանքը, որը սկսվել է 1992 թ., դեռ շարունակվում է, և միջազգային միջնորդների խմբին դեռևս չի հաջողվել ձեռք բերել համաձայնություն Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև: Հուլիսի վերջին ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի (ԱՄՆ, Ռուսաստան, Ֆրանսիա) համանախագահները ծրագրում են կրկին այցելել Լեռնային Ղարաբաղ:Մոսկվայում երկօրյա աշխատանքային այցով գտնվում է ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահ Ջեյմս Ուորլիքը: Երեկ նրա հետ հանդիպել է «Վեդոմոստի»-ի թղթակիցը, որի հետ զրույցում Ուորլիքը պատմել է իր այցի նպատակի, Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի նախագահների առաջիկա հանդիպման, Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում իրավիճակի վերաբերյալ ԱՄՆ-ի գնահատման, դրանից դուրս գալու ուղիների և այդ հարցում Ռուսաստանի հետ համագործակցության մասին:
«Անհանգստանալու համար, որ այդ հակամարտությունը կարող է ընդլայնվել, առկա են բոլոր հիմքերը: Շատ կարևոր է աշխատել միասին, որպեսզի բանակցությունների եղանակով հասնել հակամարտության կարգավորմանը և ապահովել հրադադարի ռեժիմի պահպանումը: Բացասական կողմն այն է, որ դա վտանգավոր և արյունալի հակամարտություն է, որի սրումը կարող է տեղի ունենալ ցանկացած պահին: Դրականն այն է, որ մենք՝ Միացյալ Նահանգները, Ռուսաստանը և Ֆրանսիան լրջորեն զբաղվում ենք դրա խաղաղ կարգավորման ուղիները փնտրելով, աշխատում ենք բոլոր կողմերի հետ, կոչ ենք անում նրանց պահպանել հրադադարը, և ձգտում ենք լուծել հակամարտությունը բանակցությունների միջոցով»,- ասել է Ուորլիքը:
Պատասխանելով լրագրողի հարցին, թե ինչպես են Վաշինգտոնում վերաբերվում այն հանգամանքին, որ հայ-թուրքական հարաբերությունների կարգավորման գործընթացը պառակտվեց՝ համանախագահը նշել է. «Այսպես կոչված (ցյուրիխյան) արձանագրությունները չեն վավերացվել Թուրքիայի կողմից: Հայաստանի ու Թուրքիայի միջև սահմանը շարունակում է փակ մնալ, և մենք հուսով ենք, որ Հայաստանն ու Թուրքիան կգտնեն հարաբերությունները փակուղուց դուրս բերելու ձևը: Այդքանը»:
