Հոկտեմբերի 6-ի գիշերը ռուսական զինուժը հարվածել է Զապորոժիե քաղաքում Դնեպր գետի վրայով անցնող կամուրջներից մեկին։ Այս մասին հայտնել է Զապորոժիեի մարզային ռազմական վարչակազմի ղեկավարի ժամանակավոր պաշտոնակատար Միխայիլ Սեմիկինը։ Ըստ նրա տվյալների՝ հարձակման հետևանքով տուժել է հինգ մարդ՝ աշխատանքի շտապող Կարմիր խաչի երկու աշխատակից, ինչպես նաև երկու կին և մեկ տղամարդ։ Ճանապարհածածկույթի վնասման պատճառով կամրջով երթևեկությունը ժամանակավորապես դադարեցվել է։ Սեմիկինի հրապարակած լուսանկարում երևում է առաջացած կլորավուն փոսը։ «Զապորոժիեի բնակիչներին խնդրում եմ հաշվի առնել սահմանափակումներն ու հետևել պաշտոնական տեղեկատվությանը», — նշել է Սեմիկինը։

Դրանից առաջ ռուսական բանակը սկսել էր հարվածներ հասցնել Կիևում Դնեպրի վրայով անցնող կամուրջներին։ Առաջին հարվածը հասցվել էր հոկտեմբերի 1-ին՝ երկու անօդաչու թռչող սարքով թիրախավորելով Ուկրաինայի մայրաքաղաքի Հարավային կամուրջը։ Հաջորդ օրվա ընթացքում անցումը ենթարկվել էր ևս երկու հարվածային ԱԹՍ-ների հարձակման։ Հոկտեմբերի 3-ին ռուսական ռեակտիվ անօդաչուների թիրախում էր հայտնվել Կիևի Հյուսիսային կամուրջը։ Նույն կամրջին ԱԹՍ-ները հարվածել էին նաև հոկտեմբերի 4-ին՝ Գերմանիայի կանցլեր Ֆրիդրիխ Մերցի՝ Կիև կատարած այցի օրը։ Կանցլերը նման հարվածներն անվանել էր ռազմական հանցագործություն։ Երթևեկությունն այդ հատվածներում փակվել էր, ինչը խցանումներ ու դժվարություններ էր առաջացրել Կիևի ճանապարհներին։ ՌԴ պաշտպանության նախարարությունը հաստատել էր հարձակումները՝ պնդելով, թե իբր այդ կամուրջներն ապահովում են զորքերի տեղաշարժն ու զինամթերքի մատակարարումը Դոնեցկի մարզում գտնվող ուկրաինական բանակին։

Ուկրաինայի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Զելենսկին ավելի վաղ հայտարարել էր, որ Ռուսաստանը պատրաստվում է ուժեղացնել հարվածները ուկրաինական խոշոր քաղաքների ուղղությամբ և դրանք կտրել երկրի մնացած մասից։ Ուկրաինացի բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյաները The Economist-ին հայտնել են, որ Ռուսաստանը, մասնավորապես, ծրագրում է մինչև ցրտերն ընկնելը պարալիզացնել Կիևը և դրանով իսկ ապակայունացնել քաղաքական իրավիճակը։ Նրանց փոխանցմամբ՝ Վլադիմիր Պուտինը հրամայել է թիրախավորել Ուկրաինայի մայրաքաղաքի բոլոր քաղաքացիական օբյեկտները։

Իրենց հերթին Financial Times-ի ուկրաինացի պաշտոնյա աղբյուրները նշել են, որ Մոսկվան ձգտում է մեծացնել ճնշումը Կիևի վրա, որպեսզի վերջինս 2027 թվականի սկզբին զիջի իր պահանջներին, այդ թվում՝ Դոնբասի տարածքները հանձնելու հարցում։
