Գիտնականներ Կարլ Դայսերոթը, Պետեր Հեգեմանը և Գեորգ Նագելն արժանացել են 2026 թվականի Նոբելյան մրցանակի են բժշկության կամ ֆիզիոլոգիայի բնագավառում՝ «լույսով կառավարվող իոնային անցուղիների և օպտոգենետիկայի վերաբերյալ հայտնագործությունների համար»: Այս մասին հոկտեմբերի 5-ին հայտարարել է մրցանակը շնորհող մարմինը։

54-ամյա ամերիկացի Կարլ Դայսերոթը, 71-ամյա գերմանացի Պետեր Հեգեմանը և 73-ամյա գերմանացի Գեորգ Նագելը կստանան 12 միլիոն շվեդական կրոն (մոտ 1.2 միլիոն դոլար) մրցանակը, որը մի քանի դափնեկիրների դեպքում բաժանվում է նրանց միջև։

Նոբելյան կոմիտեն նշել է, որ օպտոգենետիկան «հնարավորություն է տալիս կենդանի ուղեղում միացնել կամ անջատել առանձին նյարդային բջիջների ակտիվությունը»։

«Այս մեթոդն այժմ կիրառվում է աշխարհի լաբորատորիաներում՝ ուղեղի առեղծվածները բացահայտելու համար», – ասվում է հայտարարության մեջ։

Պետեր Հեգեմանը և Գեորգ Նագելը միաբջիջ ջրիմուռի մեջ հայտնաբերել են կարևորագույն սպիտակուցը, իսկ Կարլ Դայսերոթն այն վերածել է նյարդային բջիջների համար լույսով կառավարվող «անջատիչի»։ Նոբելյան հանձնաժողովի գնահատմամբ՝ դափնեկիրների հայտնագործությունները հիմք են դրել նեյրոգիտության նոր դարաշրջանի համար։

«Երկար ժամանակ առեղծված էր մնում, թե ինչպես է ուղեղը կառավարում զգացմունքները, վարքագիծն ու մարմնական գործառույթները։ 20-րդ դարում հետազոտողները սկսեցին ուսումնասիրել, թե ուղեղի որ հատվածներն են կապված տարբեր գործառույթների հետ, սակայն կիրառվող մեթոդները թույլ չէին տալիս ապացուցել պատճառահետևանքային կապերը։ Արդյունքում ուղեղի վերաբերյալ պատկերացումները նման էին բազմաթիվ անհայտներով և հարցականներով լի ուրվագծային քարտեզի։ Այժմ այս ամենը փոխվում է»,- ասվում է հանձնաժողովի տարածած հաղորդագրության մեջ։

«Օպտոգենետիկան հնարավորություն է տալիս քարտեզագրել ուղեղը այնպես, ինչպես նախկինում կարող էինք միայն երազել», – նշել է բժշկության կամ ֆիզիոլոգիայի Նոբելյան հանձնաժողովի նախագահ Պեր Սվենինգսոնը։

Բժշկության կամ ֆիզիոլոգիայի մրցանակով ավանդաբար մեկնարկում է Նոբելյան մրցանակների ամենամյա շնորհումների շարքը։ Առաջիկա օրերին կհայտարարվեն նաև ֆիզիկայի, քիմիայի, գրականության, խաղաղության և տնտեսագիտության բնագավառների մրցանակակիրները։
