ՄԵԾ ՊԱՀՔ, օր տասնվեցերորդ
Ի՞նչ է հավատը: Հավատ՝ նշանակում է վստահ լինել այն բաներին, որոնց հանդեպ հույս ունենք, և համոզված լինել այն բաներին, որոնք չեն երևում:
Արդ, այսպիսի մի հավատով էր, որ անցյալ ժամանակների մարդիկ ընդունվեցին Աստծու կողմից: Հավատով ենք հասկանում տիեզերքի ստեղծումն Աստծու խոսքով, որով տեսանելի տիեզերքը գոյացավ անտեսանելիից: Իր հավատով էր, որ Աբելը Կայենից շա՛տ ավելի լավ զոհ մատուցեց Աստծուն, և այդ հավատի համար էլ Աստված վկայեց նրա արդար լինելու մասին՝ ընդունելով նրա մատուցած նվերները: Եվ թեպետ Աբելը մեռավ, բայց նրա հավատի օրինակը միշտ խոսուն է մնում: Իր հավատի համար էր, որ Ենոքը փոխադրվեց երկինք՝ առանց մահ տեսնելու, և նրա մարմինը չգտնվեց, քանի որ Աստված արդեն փոխադրել էր այն: Սուրբ գրքերը վկայում են, որ երկինք փոխադրվելուց առաջ Ենոքը շահել էր Աստծու բարեհաճությունը: Իսկ առանց հավատի անհնար է Աստծու բարեհաճությունը շահել:
Արդարև, ով մոտենում է Աստծուն, պետք է հավատա, որ նա գոյություն ունի և վարձատրում է նրանց, ովքեր փնտրում են իրեն:
