«Ժողովուրդ» թերթը գրում է. «Քրեական աշխարհում հայտնի Թեւոս Սաֆարյանի մտերիմ Կարեն Բագրատունյանցը՝ Սամբիստ Կարենը, որ զենք պահելու համար դատապարտվեց 1 տարվա ազատազրկման, ամեն ինչ անում է՝ իր պատիժը մեղմելու համար:

Հիշեցնենք, որ դեռեւս 2015 թվականի հունիսի 19-ին քրեական աշխարհում հայտնի Թեւոս Սաֆարյանը՝ Կայարանցի Թեւոսիկը, եւ մի խումբ երիտասարդներ, որոնց մեջ էին եղել ԱԺ պատգամավոր Սեյրան Սարոյանի վարորդ Արմեն Ղարիբյանը, Կարեն Բագրատունյանցը, ով առավել հայտնի է Սամբիստ Կարեն մականվամբ, իրավապահների կողմից ապօրինի զենք պահելու համար բերման էին ենթարկվել ոստիկանություն: Ավելի ուշ կալանքի տակ հայտնվեցին պատգամավորի վարորդը եւ Սամբիստ Կարենը, սակայն կարճ ժամանակ անց ԱԺ ՀՀԿ-ական պատգամավորի վարորդին կալանքից ազատեցին, իսկ, ահա, առաջին ատյանի դատարանի կողմից մեկ տարվա ազատազրկման դատապարտվեց Կարեն Բագրատունյանցը:

Եվ, ահա, ինչպես նկատում ենք՝ քրեական հեղինակության մտերիմը այդքան էլ չի հաշտվում իր ազատազրկման հետ եւ այս օրերին դիմելով տարբեր ատյանների՝ փորձում է մեղմել իր դեմ կայացրած վճիռը:

Տեղեկացանք, որ Սամբիստ Կարենի պաշտպան Մ. Մանուկյանը դիմել է ՀՀ վերաքննիչ քրեական դատարան՝ պահանջելով վերջինիս պատիժը մեղմել եւ ազատազրկման դատապարտել 6 ամիս ժամկետով, ի հակադրություն վերջինիս՝ ՀՀ Երեւան քաղաքի դատախազության դատախազ Գ. Մանուկյանն էլ իր հերթին է դիմել ՀՀ վերաքննիչ դատարան՝ պահանջելով խստացնել Կարեն Բագրատունյանցի պատիժը եւ նրան ազատազրկման դատապարտել ոչ թե մեկ, այլ 2 տարի ժամկետով:

Եվ, ահա, ՀՀ վերաքննիչ քրեական դատարանի դատավորներ Ռուզաննա Բարսեղյանը, Գագիկ Ավետիսյանը Արարատ Պետրոսյանը, ուսումնասիրելով մեղադրող դատախազի եւ պաշտպանի բողոքները, որոշեցին մերժել վերջիններիս բողոքները եւ Կարեն Բագրատունյանցի կալանքը թողել անփոփոխ»:
