Երիտասարդ տարիքում բոլորին թվում է, թե սերը շատ բնական, բոլորի հետ պատահող բան է: Իսկ եթե ինչ որ մեկի կյանքում այն դեռ չի եղել, ընդամենը ժամանակի հարց է և ուշ, թե շուտ, նա էլ կհանդիպի համապատասխան մարդու և ահա՝ սեր:
Իրականում, երկար տարիների ուսումնասիրություններն ու վերլուծությունները ցույց են տալիս, որ սերը հազվադեպ հանդիպող երևույթ է: Նկատի ունենք սեր, այս բառի իսկական իմաստով, որտեղ կա փոխադարձ հարգանք, վստահություն, միմյանց գնահատելու կարողություն, գիտակցված հավատարմություն: Հաճախ այն, ինչ մարդիկ անվանում են սեր , ուղղակի կախվածություն է: Այն սկսվում է ոգևորությամբ, հիացմունքով, ռոմատիկայով: Չհասցնելով կարգին ճանաչել միմյանց, մարդիկ ընկնում են էմոցիոնալ և սեքսուալ կախվածության մեջ՝ անկեղծորեն հավատալով, որ դա հենց այն լուսավոր և պայծառ զգացմունքն է, որն անվանում են սեր: Սակայն, սերը միշտ պայմանավորված է մարդուն ճանաչելու և նրան ընդունելու փաստով: Էյֆորիայի մեջ սիրահարները դադարում են ապրել իրենց կյանքով: Նրանք մոռանում են իրենց հետաքրքրությունները, հարազատմներին, ընկերներին: Բոլոր մտքերն ու ցանկությունները կապված են լինում սիրելի մարդու հետ: Նրա հետ լավ է, առանց նրա՝ վատ:
Եթե սիրահարվածության առաջին օրերից հետո զույգի մոտ չեն առաջանում ընդհանուր հետաքրքրություններ, ընդհանուր ծրագրեր, եթե նրանք ինչ-որ պահից չեն ակսում նորից զբաղվել իրենցով, իրենց հետաքրքրություններվ և միայն բավարարվում են նրանով, որ սիրելին իրենց կողքին է, ապա շուտով իրենք էլ չեն նկատում, թե ինչպես են հայտնվում սիրային կախվածության մեջ:
Շուտով նրանցից մեկը սկսում է ստորացնել մյուսին, ինչ-որ մեկն արգելքներ է դնում, մյուսն անընդհատ հետևում է՝ որտեղ էիր, ում հետ, մյուսը ուշադրության պակա է զգում և նեղանում է: Հեռախոսների, սոցիալական ցանցերի էջերի ստուգում, խանդ, անվստահություն: Եվ այս ամենը միայն մի պատճառով, որ մարդը սպասում է, որ մյուսը, ում նա ենթադրաբար սիրում է, լցնելու է իր կյանքի դատարկությունը :
Եթե անգամ բարձրաձայն չեն ասվում, միևնույն է, այս արտահայտությունները պտտվում են նրանց գլխում. «Դու պետք է ինձ երջանկացնես», «Ինձ միայնակ մի թող», «Դու պետք է ինձ հետ լինես», «Ինչպես կարող ես ապրել առանց ինձ»…
Իրականում, իսկական սերը շատ քիչ բան է սպասում իր սիրո առարկայից: Իսկական սերը սկսվում է ինքն իր հանդեպ սիրուց: Առողջ մարդու հոգում սերը միշտ առկա է: Նա միշտ սիրահարված է: Դա կյանքով լի լինելու, կյանքով ուրախ լինելու կարողությունն է: Բավարարված և ներդաշնակ լինելու կարողությունն է: Միայն այսպիսի հատկություններվ մարդը կարող է և ի վիճակի է սիրելու:
Սերը ազատ ընտրություն է, ոչ թե ամուսնության, երեխաների, մենակ չմնալու, ոչ թե կյանքի դատարկությունը լցնելու համար. «Ես քեզ հետ եմ, որովհետև դու լավագույնն ես ինձ համար: Ես կարող եմ առանց քեզ, բայց քեզ հետ իմ կյանքն ավելի վառ է , լուսավոր է ու ջերմ»,- սա իսկական սիրո դրսևորումն է:
