Պակիստանի բանակի գլխավոր հրամանատար Ասիմ Մունիրը խնդրել է Իրանին ազդեցություն ունենալ եմենյան «Անսար Ալլահ» ապստամբական շարժման վրա, որպեսզի նրանք դադարեցնեն հարձակումները Սաուդյան Արաբիայի վրա։ Այդ մասին հայտնել է բրիտանական Financial Times (FT) թերթը, հաղորդում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:

Պարբերականի աղբյուրների փոխանցմամբ՝ Մունիրը բազմիցս խնդրել է իրանական ղեկավարությանը աջակցություն ցուցաբերել Սաուդյան Արաբիայի և նրա էներգետիկ ենթակառուցվածքների վրա հութիների հարձակումների դադարեցման նպատակով՝ հղում անելով Իսլամաբադի պարտավորություններին Էր Ռիադի առջև, սակայն առանց կոնկրետ սպառնալիքների դիմելու։

Պարբերականի աղբյուրներից մեկը նաև նշել է, որ Իսլամաբադը, որը ապրիլին կործանիչներ էր տեղակայել Սաուդյան Արաբիայի արևելքում գտնվող ռազմաբազայում, գտնվում է բարդ իրավիճակում։ Պակիստանը հրաժարվել էր միանալ Սաուդյան Արաբիայի՝ Եմենի ուղղությամբ 2015 թվականի ավիահարվածներին, սակայն նրա ներկայիս ֆինանսական դժվարությունները բարդացնում են թագավորության հանդեպ դաշնակցային պարտավորությունների կատարումից հետագա խուսափումը։ Ընդ որում՝ Պակիստանի ԱԳՆ ներկայացուցիչները նախկինում հրաժարվել էին հրապարակայնորեն հնչեցնել Սաուդյան Արաբիային աջակցելու կոնկրետ հնարավոր ռազմական միջոցները։

Իրավիճակը Եմենում կտրուկ սրվել էր սեպտեմբերի սկզբին, երբ եմենյան ապստամբական շարժումը հարձակման էր անցել երկրի հարավ-արևմուտքում։ Հողային հարձակմանը զուգահեռ՝ հութիները սկսել էին հրթիռներով և անօդաչու թռչող սարքերով հարվածներ հասցնել Կարմիր ծովի առափնյա շրջաններին և Տաիզ քաղաքի շրջակայքին՝ ձգտելով կտրել դեպի Մոխա տանող ճանապարհները և առաջ շարժվել դեպի ռազմավարական նշանակություն ունեցող Բաբ էլ-Մանդեբի նեղուցին մոտ գտնվող շրջաններ։

Սեպտեմբերի 11-ին հութիների ռազմական ներկայացուցիչը հայտնել էր, որ «Անսար Ալլահ»-ի կազմավորումները գործողություն են սկսել Եմենի արևմտյան ափին՝ այնտեղից սաուդյան ուժերին դուրս մղելու նպատակով։ Նրա պնդմամբ՝ պատճառ են դարձել վերջին տարիներին շարունակվող՝ Սաուդյան Արաբիայի կողմից աջակցվող ուժերի հարձակումները արևմտյան ափի բնակիչների, գյուղերի և շրջանների վրա։

Օգոստոսի 7-ին Սաուդյան Արաբիայի թագաժառանգ Մուհամմեդ բեն Սալման Ալ Սաուդը, Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանը և Պակիստանի վարչապետ Շահբազ Շարիֆը ստորագրել են Մեքքայի համաձայնագիրը։ Այն նախատեսում է, որ երկրներից մեկի վրա հարձակումը կդիտարկվի որպես ագրեսիա պակտի բոլոր մասնակիցների դեմ։
