Եվրամիության ներսում Շենգենյան գոտուց հրաժարվելը եւ սահմանների հսկողությանը տեւական վերադարձը կհանգեցնի ամբողջ Եվրոպայում տնտեսական աճի խիստ դանդաղեցման: Այդ մասին, վկայում են Prognos AG կոնսալտինգային ֆիրմայի հետազոտության արդյունքները, որն անցկացվել Է Բերտելս մանի հիմնադրամի պատվերով:

Միայն Գերմանիայում կորուստները կարող են կազմել 77 մլրդ եվրոյից մինչեւ 235 մլրդ եվրո:

«Եթե Եվրոպայի ներսում կրկին ուղեփակոցներ դրվեն, ապա տարածաշրջանի առանց այդ Էլ թույլ տնտեսական աճը կհայտնվի Էլ ավելի հզոր ճնշման ներքո: Վերջին հաշվով, կտուժեն բոլորը»,-կարծում Է հիմնադրամի վարչության նախագահ Արտ դե Գեուսը:  

Նա նախազգուշացրել Է, որ ԵՄ-ի ներսում սահմանային հսկողությանը վերադառնալը կհանգեցնի ծախսերի եւ գների կտրուկ ավելացման, ինչը բացասաբար կազդի եվրոպական տնտեսության աճի վրա: Նույնիսկ լավատեսական սցենարով, որի դեպքում Շենգենյան գոտու անդամ եվրոպական մյուս երկրներից ներմուծվող ապրանքների արժեքը կբարձրանա ընդամենը 1 տոկոսով, ամբողջ Եվրամիությունում ՀՆԱ-ի միագումար կորուստներն առաջիկա տասնամակի ընթացքում կկազմեն 470 մլրդ եվրո:

Հոռետեսական սցենարի դեպքում, որը ներմուծված ապրանքների գների 3 տոկոսի աճ Է նախատեսում, ՀՆԱ-ի կորուստները Գերմանիայում կկազմեն 235 մլրդ եվրո, Ֆրանսիայում՝ 244 մլրդ եվրո, իսկ ամբողջ Եվրամիությունում՝ 1,4 տրլն եվրո, գրում Է Deutsche Welle-ն, հաղորդել Է «Ինտերֆաքս»-ը:
