Հայաստանը պետք է հարևանների հետ փոխադարձ վստահություն ձևավորի, խնդիրները հնարավորինս առանց միջնորդների լուծի և համատեղ տարածաշրջանային ծրագրեր իրականացնի։ Այդ ճանապարհով հնարավոր կլինի տարածաշրջանում երկարատև խաղաղություն հաստատել և Հայաստանն իսկապես դարձնել «Խաղաղության խաչմերուկ»։ Այս մասին Չեխիա կատարած պաշտոնական այցն ամփոփող ասուլիսի ընթացքում հայտարարել է Հայաստանի Հանրապետության նախագահ Վահագն Խաչատուրյանը՝ պատասխանելով «Արմենպրես»-ի հարցին, թե առաջիկա տասնամյակներին ինչպիսի տարածաշրջան կարող է ձևավորվել ներկայում իրականացվող խաղաղության քաղաքականության արդյունքում։

«Երբ նայում եմ, թե հետագայում ինչ կարող է տեղի ունենալ մեր տարածաշրջանում, եթե լրացուցիչ խնդիրներ չառաջանան, և մենք ինքներս փորձենք մեր հարցերը լուծել մեր հարևանների հետ՝ առանց որևէ միջնորդության, համոզված եմ, որ հաջողություններ ունենալու ենք՝ անկախ ամեն ինչից»,- ասել է Խաչատուրյանը։

Նախագահի խոսքով՝ ներկայում տարածաշրջանում ձևավորվել է նոր իրավիճակ, կան խաղաղության և համագործակցության համար անհրաժեշտ հնարավորություններ, ցանկություն ու պատրաստակամություն։

«Հիմա լրիվ այլ իրավիճակ է։ Հիմա հնարավորություններ, ցանկություն և պատրաստակամություն կան։ Մենք ինքներս պետք է կարողանանք մեր հարևանների հետ փոխադարձ վստահություն ձևավորել և համատեղ ծրագրեր իրականացնել։

Ես նկատի ունեմ և՛ ԹՐԻՓՓ-ը, և՛ հետագայում էներգետիկ, ինչու ոչ՝ նաև այլ համատեղ ծրագրերը, որոնք օգտակար են լինելու ոչ միայն առանձին մեր երկրների, այլև ամբողջ տարածաշրջանի համար»,- նշել է ՀՀ նախագահը։

Խաչատուրյանի համոզմամբ՝ Հայաստանը պարտավոր է օգտագործել տարածաշրջանային համագործակցության համար ստեղծված հնարավորությունը և գործնականում դառնալ «Խաղաղության խաչմերուկ»։

«Հիմա մենք նոր հնարավորություն ունենք և պարտավոր ենք այդ հնարավորությունն օգտագործել, իսկապես դառնալ «Խաղաղության խաչմերուկ»»,- ընդգծել է նախագահը։

Նախագահ Խաչատուրյանը պաշտոնական այցով Պրահայում էր սեպտեմբերի 2-4-ը։ Նա հանդիպում է ունեցել նախագահ Պետր Պավելի հետ, Չեխիայի Սենատում և Ներկայացուցիչների պալատում, ելույթով հանդես եկել CEVRO համալսարանում, հանդիպել հայկական համայնքի ներկայացուցիչների հետ։
