Աշխարհի և Հայաստանի եզդիների միության նախագահ Ազիզ Թամոյանը հայտարարություն է տարածել, որտեղ մասնավորապես ասվում է.


«Վերջին օրերին ադրբեջանցի քարոզիչները ջանք ու եռանդ չեն խնայում հայ-ադրբեջանական սահմանում զոհված ազգությամբ եզդի զինծառայողներին որպես ահաբեկիչներ ներկայացնելու համար և կեղծ տեղեկություններ են տարածում, թե իբր Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունում ազգային փոքրամասնությունների, մասնավորապես` եզդիական համայնքի նկատմամբ կիրառվող ճնշումների վերաբերյալ: Նման կեղծիքի տարածումը ուղղված է ոչ միայն եզդի ժողովրդի դեմ, այլև պետական մակարդակով հայերի հանդեպ Ադրբեջանում արմատավորված ատելության մթնոլորտի տարածման նպատակ ունի: Ի տարբերություն Ադրբեջանի՝ Հայաստանում բնակվող ազգային փոքրամասնությունների նկատմամբ որևէ բռնաճշում, որևէ խտրականություն չի կիրառվում: Հայ ու եզդի ժողովուրդները դարավոր բարեկամներ են, ու այսօր էլ ՀՀ-ում բնակվում է մոտ 60 հազար եզդի: Ի տարբերություն աշխարհի շատ երկրների` Հայաստանում եզդիների իրավունքները պաշտպանված են օրենքով: 32 դպրոցներում դասավանդվում է եզդիերեն, համայնքն ունի եզդիերեն ռադիոհեռարձակման ժամեր: Եզդի ժողովրդի զավակները հայ ժողովրդի և Հայաստանում բնակվող ազգային այլ փոքրամասնությունների` եզդի, ասորի, հույն, քուրդ, ռուս, հրեա, լեհ, ուկրաինացի քաղաքացիների հետ միասին մասնակցում են Հայաստանի զարգացմանն ու հզորացմանը:
 
Մեծ է եզդի ժողովրդի ներդրած ավանդը Արցախյան ազատամարտում, նրանց մասնակցությունը ՀՀ և Արցախի սահմանների պաշտպանությանը: Արցախյան պատերազմի տարիներին եզդիների 500 հոգանոց ջոկատը կանգնած է եղել հայ ժողովրդի կողքին, և այսօր էլ եզդի պատանիները, որպես Հայաստանի Հանրապետության լիիրավ քաղաքացիներ, ազգային փոքրամասնությունների այլ ներկայացուցիչների հետ միասին պատվով ծառայում են զինված ուժերում: Վստահ ենք, որ ինչպես Հայաստանի ամեն քաղաքացի, այստեղ ազատորեն բնակվող եզդիները պատրաստ են Հայկական բանակի զինվորների հետ միասին պաշտպանել սահմանները թշնամիների հարձակումներից և ոտնձգություններից»:
