Վերջ պետք է տանք Հայոց ցեղասպանության զենքայնացմանը, այդ կրակոցից մենք ենք զոհվել ու զոհվելու: Այս մասին ԱԺ ելույթի ժամանակ ասել է Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը:
«Մենք պետք է վերջ տանք Հայոց ցեղասպանության զենքայնացման այս գործընթացին։ Մենք որոշեցինք, որ Հայոց ցեղասպանության միջազգային ճանաչումը չի լինելու մեր արտաքին քաղաքական օրակարգում, ու մինչ նախադասություններ էինք ձևակերպում մեր հանրությանը բացատրելու, թե ինչու իրադարձությունները իրենք ի ցույց դրեցին մի պերճախոս բացատրություն: Բոլորովին վերջերս Իսրայելի կառավարությունն ամենասուր վճռականությամբ Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման պրոցես սկսեց, ապա նույնպիսի վճռականությամբ կանգնեցրեց այդ պրոցեսը։ Մենք բոլորով տեսանք, ստիպված եղանք տեսնել, որ միջազգային խաղացողները, ներողություն ձևակերպման համար, մեր նահատակների մասունքներով իրար գլխին բամփում են, բայց մեր գլուխն է ցավում։
Մեր նահատակների ոսկորները զենքայնացնում են, դրանով կրակում իրար վրա, բայց մենք ենք զոհվում։ Սա էլ էր մի կարևոր իրադարձություն, որ բացեց վարագույրը և մենք բոլորով տեսանք, ստիպված եղանք տեսնել, թե ինչ է կատարվում դրա հետևում։ Մենք չպետք է այլևս երազենք այլ հայրենիքի մասին, որովհետև Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունն է մեր երազանքների հայրենիքը ու մենք երջանիկ ենք, որ ունենք այդ հայրենիքը։ Մեր անելիքը պետք է լինի պետությունը զարգացնելը ու այն հարատև սերնդեսերունդ փոխանցելը։ Սրա համար էլ հարկավոր է նախ սերտել մեր հին ու նոր պատմության դասերը, թե ինչ է լինում, երբ անվտանգության մեր հույսերը կապում ենք ուրիշների հետ»,- նշել է Փաշինյանը:
