Իրանի Իսլամական հեղափոխության պահապանների կորպուսի (ԻՀՊԿ) ղեկավարն ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի վարչակազմին գաղտնի կապի ալիքով փոխանցել է, որ աջակցում է Թեհրանի և Վաշինգտոնի միջև հրադադարի շուրջ բանակցություններին, հայտնում է Axios-ը՝ հղում անելով երեք անանուն աղբյուրների։

Պարբերականի տվյալներով, ամերիկյան իշխանությունները մտավախություն ունեին, որ Իրանի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Աբաս Արաղչիի և խորհրդարանի խոսնակ Մոհամմադ Բաղեր Ղալիբաֆի հետ բանակցությունները կարող են տապալվել ԻՀՊԿ-ի կողմից, որը Իրանի իշխանական համակարգի ամենաազդեցիկ ուժերից մեկն է։

Մայիսին ԱՄՆ ազգային հետախուզության այն ժամանակվա տնօրեն Թուլսի Գաբարդը դիմել էր Իրաքյան Քրդստանի նախագահ Նեչիրվան Բարզանիին, որը սերտ կապեր է պահպանում ԻՀՊԿ-ի հետ, որպեսզի պարզի դրա ղեկավարության դիրքորոշումը Վաշինգտոնի հետ բանակցությունների հարցում։

Մի քանի օր անց Բարզանին հեռախոսազրույց էր կազմակերպել գեներալ Ահմադ Վահիդիի հետ։ Ինչպես պնդվում է, ԻՀՊԿ-ի ղեկավարը նրան հավաստիացրել է, որ աջակցում է Արաղչիին և Ղալիբաֆին և կողմ է ճգնաժամի դիվանագիտական կարգավորմանը։

«Ես լիովին աջակցում եմ նրանց, և դա նաև ԻՀՊԿ-ի դիրքորոշումն է։ Մենք նախընտրում ենք այս ճգնաժամը լուծել բանակցությունների միջոցով», — Վահիդիի խոսքն է մեջբերում Axios-ը։

Նրանից ստացված հաղորդագրությունը Գաբարդը շուտով փոխանցել է Սպիտակ տուն։

Դրանից հետո Թրամփի վարչակազմը փորձել է ընդլայնել Բարզանիի դերը բանակցային գործընթացում և առաջարկել է ԱՄՆ-ի և Իրանի միջև ուղիղ բանակցություններ անցկացնել Էրբիլում։ Սակայն իրանական կողմը հրաժարվել է այդ գաղափարից՝ մտավախություն ունենալով, որ իր ներկայացուցիչները կարող են դառնալ Իսրայելի թիրախը։ Axios-ի տվյալներով, Թեհրանը կարծում էր, որ Իսրայելն ունի զգալի հետախուզական հնարավորություններ Իրաքյան Քրդստանում։

Այժմ Բարզանին կրկին առաջարկել է Սպիտակ տանը վերսկսել ԱՄՆ-ի և Իրանի միջև բանակցությունները, հայտնում է Axios-ը։
