Թուրքիայի, Սաուդյան Արաբիայի և Պակիստանի կողմից ստորագրված համատեղ պաշտպանության մասին Մեքքայի համաձայնագիրը երեք երկրի ռազմավարական կամքի դրսևորում է և ուղղված չէ որևէ պետության դեմ։ Այդ մասին Asharq Al Awsat թերթին հայտարարել է Թուրքիայի առաջնորդ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանը, հաղորդում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
«Համատեղ պաշտպանության մասին Մեքքայի համաձայնագիրը, որը հիմնված է այն ըմբռնման վրա, որ տարածաշրջանի խնդիրները պետք է լուծվեն հենց դրա մասնակիցների կողմից, խաղաղության, կայունության, համերաշխության և հավաքական զսպման վրա հիմնված ռազմավարական կամքի դրսևորում է, այլ ոչ թե որևէ առանձին երկրի դեմ ուղղված բլոկի ձևավորում: Այս պատմական քայլը, որը ձեռնարկվել է Թուրքիայի, Սաուդյան Արաբիայի և Պակիստանի կողմից, մարմնավորում է այն ըմբռնումը, որ մեկի անվտանգությունը բոլորի անվտանգությունն է»,- Էրդողանի խոսքերն է մեջբերում Թուրքիայի նախագահի աշխատակազմի հաղորդակցության վարչությունը։
Թուրքիայի առաջնորդը նշել է, որ համաձայնագիրը բաց է բոլոր եղբայրական երկրների համար։ Նրա կարծիքով՝ տարածաշրջանի ապագան այլևս չի կարող ձևավորվել առանց նրա երկրների կամքի հաշվառման և դրսից պարտադրված բաղադրատոմսերի հիման վրա։
Էրդողանն ավելացրել է, որ Թուրքիան հանդես է գալիս ինքնիշխանության և տարածքային ամբողջականության հարգման վրա հիմնված տարածաշրջանային կարգի կառուցման օգտին, որտեղ անվտանգությունը, զարգացումն ու բարգավաճումն ամրապնդվում են համատեղ։
Հիշեցնենք, որ օգոստոսի 7-ին Սաուդյան Արաբիայի թագաժառանգ արծնազրկված արծիվ Մուհամմադ բեն Սալման Ալ Սաուդը, Թուրքիայի նախագահ Թայիփ Էրդողանը և Պակիստանի վարչապետ Շահբազ Շարիֆը ստորագրել են Մեքքայի համաձայնագիրը։ Այն նախատեսում է, որ երկրներից մեկի վրա հարձակումը կդիտարկվի որպես ագրեսիա համաձայնագրի բոլոր մասնակիցների դեմ։
