Պենտագոնն անցել է նոր միջուկային ռազմավարության ստեղծմանը՝ Ռուսաստանի կամ Չինաստանի հետ պատերազմի դեպքի համար, հայտնում է NBC-ն՝ հղում անելով հինգ իրազեկ աղբյուրների:
Նոր ռազմավարության մեջ, ինչպես պնդում է հեռուստաալիքը, կասկածի տակ է դրվում միջուկային զենքի նկատմամբ նախկին մոտեցումը, որը տասնամյակներ շարունակ համարվում էր անսասան:
NBC-ի տվյալներով՝ գերատեսչության առաջարկները ենթադրում են, որ ռազմավարությունը չի բացառի ԱՄՆ նախագահի համար գործողությունների և ոչ մի տարբերակ, այլ ավելի շուտ կընդլայնի ընտրության տարածությունը՝ նրան տրամադրելով իրատեսական և հուսալի տարբերակներ, և դրանով իսկ կուժեղացնի զսպումը:
«Մենք կարծում ենք, որ մեզ անհրաժեշտ են միջուկային զենքի կիրառման հուսալի տարբերակներ»,- NBC-ին ասել է Պենտագոնի աղբյուրը:
Մշակումն իրականացնում է Պենտագոնի քաղաքական վարչության ղեկավար Էլբրիջ Քոլբին, գործընթացն ընթանում է կանոնավոր ստուգման շրջանակներում, որը սովորաբար անցկացվում է յուրաքանչյուր նոր նախագահի օրոք:
Քոլբին վաղուց է հանդես գալիս տակտիկական զենքի դերի մեծացման օգտին՝ պնդելով, որ ԱՄՆ-ի մրցակիցները հավատում են, թե Վաշինգտոնն իրականում կարող է կիրառել մեծ հեռահարության միջուկային զենք՝ հակառակորդի միջուկային ուժերը ոչնչացնելու համար, ինչպես նախատեսված է գործող միջուկային ռազմավարությամբ:
Նրա առաջարկած ռազմավարությունը մտահոգություն է առաջացրել որոշ օրենսդիրների մոտ, քանի որ դրա պատճառով միջուկային զենքի կիրառումը կարող է ավելի պակաս սպառնալից թվալ կամ որոշ սցենարներում կարող է հանգեցնել ռազմական պատրաստվածության նվազեցմանը: Նաև որոշ քննադատներ կարծում են, որ դա կարող է ազդել ԱՄՆ զինված ուժերի պատրաստվածության վրա, քանի որ մարտիկների պատրաստման մեջ շեշտադրումը կտեղափոխվի նոր ռազմավարության վրա, որը ենթադրում է փոքր հեռահարության զենքի օգտագործում:
Նրանց կարծիքով՝ հնարավոր ապոկալիպսիսի դեպքում ԱՄՆ-ն ավելի պակաս պատրաստված կլինի միջուկային զենքի օգտագործմանը, քանի որ զինվորականները դրանում այդքան լավ չեն կողմնորոշվի:
«Դժվար է պատկերացնել մի հետազոտություն, որն ավելի մեծ չափով հակասեր նախագահ Թրամփի հայտարարած դիրքորոշմանը, ըստ որի՝ մենք պետք է մեր միջուկային զսպման համակարգը դարձյալ հզոր դարձնենք: Նա ակնհայտորեն ցանկանում է ունենալ ավելի շատ հնարավորություններ, այլ ոչ թե ավելի քիչ: Այս հետազոտությունը կատարյալ ձախողում է»,- հայտարարել է NBC-ի՝ ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսի աղբյուրը:
