Վեց իսրայելցիներ հարձակվել են Երուսաղեմի Հին քաղաքի Հայկական թաղամասում գտնվող Սուրբ Հակոբյանց վանքի մուտքի վրա։ Այս մասին հայտնել է Հայկական թաղամասի փրկության շարժման ներկայացուցիչ Գեղամ Բալյանը։
Հարձակվողները հերթով թքել են վանքի մուտքի մոտ, ապա սկսել քարեր նետել այն հայ կնոջ տան պատուհանին, որը իր տնից նկարահանում էր տեղի ունեցածը, և վիրավորական արտահայտություններ հնչեցրել նրա հասցեին։
Իսրայելի ոստիկանությունը ձերբակալել է վեց կասկածյալի՝ հինգ անչափահասի և մեկ չափահասի։
Երուսաղեմի Հայոց պատրիարքարանը պաշտոնական բողոք է ներկայացրել և կոչ է արել Իսրայելում ԱՄՆ դեսպան Մայք Հաքաբիին դատապարտել քրիստոնյաների նկատմամբ ատելության դրսևորումները։
