Եվրամիությունը ուժեղ ճնշում կգործադրի Հայաստանի վրա, որպեսզի վերջինս վիզային ռեժիմ մտցնի Ռուսաստանի հետ և միանա պատժամիջոցներին: Այս մասին Известия-ին հայտնել է Եվրախորհրդարանի պատգամավոր Ֆերնանդ Կարթհայզերը։

«Հայաստանի վրա ուժեղ ճնշում կգործադրվի, որպեսզի նա այնուամենայնիվ ընդունի նման միջոցներ: Հուսով եմ, որ Հայաստանը կդիմանա նման ճնշմանը և առաջին հերթին հոգ կտանի սեփական շահերի մասին: Հայաստանը պետք է Արևմուտքի հետ համագործակցությունը դիտարկի որպես երկարաժամկետ նախագիծ և միևնույն ժամանակ չպետք է ձեռնարկի որևէ բան, որը կարող է էլ ավելի ապակայունացնել կամ թուլացնել նրա դիրքը տարածաշրջանում», - ասել է քաղաքական գործիչը, ով նախկինում ընդգրկված է եղել Հայաստանի հետ խորհրդարանական համագործակցության կոմիտեում:

Ընդ որում, եվրապատգամավորը կարծում է, որ Երևանը պարտավոր չէ հետևել ԵՄ պահանջներին: Այնուամենայնիվ, ներկայիս կառավարությունը մարտահրավեր է նետում Հայաստանի վաղեմի հարաբերություններին Ռուսաստանի հետ, այդ թվում՝ անվտանգության ոլորտում, մոտեցնելով իր դիրքորոշումները ԵՄ քաղաքականությանը։

Եվրապատգամավորը նշում է, որ ԵՄ-ն իրականում ի վիճակի չէ որևէ էական աջակցություն ցուցաբերել ճգնաժամի դեպքում: Բրյուսելն օգտագործում է Հայաստանին իր սեփական քաղաքական նպատակների համար՝ Ռուսաստանի վրա հարձակվելու նպատակով, բայց հնարավորություն չունի պաշտպանելու Երևանին նման քաղաքականության հնարավոր բացասական հետևանքներից։

Ավելի վաղ ՌԴ արտաքին հետախուզության ծառայությունը հայտնել էր, որ Բրյուսելը պահանջել է Երևանից կրճատել ռուսական բիզնեսի ներկայությունը։
