«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

Իսկական գերմանական գարեջրի սիրահարները լավ ծանոթ են այդ բրենդին, որն եկող տարի նշելու է իր 120-ամյակը և հպարտանում է գերմանական գարեջրի բազմազան տեսակների շարքում առանձնանալու իր համբավով։ Խոսքը «Վայցենբոկ» գարեջրի մասին է:

Ժամանակակից «Վայցենբոկների» գույները տատանվում են մուգ սաթից մինչև հարուստ, մուգ կարմրավուն-շագանակագույն երանգների միջև՝ կայուն, բաց դեղնավուն-շագանակագույն փրփուրով։ Քանի որ այս գարեջուրը ավանդաբար չի ֆիլտրվում, այն միշտ մի փոքր պղտոր է և ունի փոքր քանակությամբ նստվածք։ Իսկական «Վայցենբոկը» ցորենի ածիկային հիմքով գարեջուր է, որը համատեղում է «դունկելվեյցենի» հաճելի նոտաները «բոկի» հարուստ համի հետ։

Վերին խմորման ենթարկված ցորենի այս «դոպելբոկի» պատմությունը սկսվել է 1907 թվականին, երբ Մյունխենի խոշոր գարեջրատանը Վայսե Բրաուհաուսը եփեց Ավենտինուսը, որը կոչվել է հայտնի գերմանացի հումանիստ պատմաբանի անունով։ Այս գարեջուրը հենց սկզբից արտադրվել է շամպայնի մեթոդով և թարմ խմորիչի նստվածքի ավելացմամբ։ Այն հիանալի պատասխան էր ստորին խմորման «դոպելբոկներին», որոնք այդ ժամանակ արագորեն ժողովրդականություն էին ձեռք բերում: Այսօր լավագույն գերմանական «Վայցենբոկներն» արտադրվում են G. Schneider & Sohn GmbH-ի կողմից: Չնայած նրանց ներկայիս Mein Kristall-ն ավելի հայտնի է, քան հին Unser Aventinus-ը, բայց վերջինս ևս դեռևս շատ երկրպագուներ ունի ոչ միայն իր հայրենիքում, այլ նաև արտասահմանում։ 

«Վայցենբոկը» թունդ, չֆիլտրացված ցորենի գարեջուր է: Սովորաբար, այն եփելու համար օգտագործվում է մոտ 60 % ցորենի ածիկ: Ի դեպ, գերմանական օրենսդրությունը պահանջում է, որ այդ ըմպելիքի համար առնվազն 50 % ցորենի ածիկ լինի: Մնացած 40 %-ը Մյունխենի, Վիեննայի կամ Պիլսների ածիկն է: Ածիկի հատիկի այս մասն էլ որոշում է պատրաստի գարեջրի գույնը: Ահա թե ինչու գույնը այդքան զգալիորեն տարբերվում է այլ հայտնի գործարանների արտադրանքից: Խմորման ընթացքում օգտագործվում է միայն հատուկ վերին խմորման խմորիչ, որը այդ ըմպելիքին հաղորդում է մի փոքր կծու, մեխականման բույր։

Հետաքրքիր է, որ դասական «Վայցենբոկը» ներկայում ավելի մեծ ժողովրդականություն է վայելում Միացյալ Նահանգներում, քան Գերմանիայում, և այնտեղ կան բազմաթիվ գործարաններ, որոնք մասնագիտացած են գերմանական հենց այդ գարեջրի արտադրության մեջ: Ավելին, կան բազմաթիվ միկրոգործարաններ, որոնք իրենց ավանդական տեսականու հետ մեկտեղ արտադրում են նաև «Վայցենբոկ»:
