Բրյուսելը պահանջելու է Վաշինգտոնից պարզաբանումներ նոր մաքսատուրքերի սահմանման կապակցությամբ, դրանց հայտարարությունը համայնքի համար տհաճ անակնկալ է դարձել: Այս մասին ասել է Եվրադիվանագիտության ղեկավար Կայա Կալլասը Reuters գործակալությանը տված հարցազրույցում։

«Մենք գործարք ունեինք Ամերիկայի հետ, և մենք հետևում էինք այդ գործարքին։ Մեզ համար այս պայմանավորվածությունների չպահպանումը տհաճ անակնկալ դարձավ», - ասել է Կալլասը:

Բացի այդ, նա մատնանշել է նոր սահմանափակումների անհիմն լինելը։ Նրա խոսքով՝ եվրոպական աշխատանքային օրենսդրությունն ավելի լավն է, քան ամերիկյանը, համայնքի երկրներում կա վճարովի արձակուրդ, կան շատ լավ աշխատանքային պայմաններ։

Տուրքերն ուժի մեջ են մտել հուլիսի 24-ին՝ ԱՄՆ Արևելյան ափի ժամանակով 00:01-ին (մոսկովյան ժամանակով 07:01-ին): Այն ապրանքների համար, որոնք այդ պահին գտնվում են փոխադրման գործընթացում, նոր տուրքերի ուժի մեջ մտնելը հետաձգվել է մինչև հուլիսի 28-ը։

Հիշեցնենք, որ ավելի վաղ ԱՄՆ-ը որոշում էր ընդունել մաքսատուրքեր սահմանել առևտրային գործընկերների նկատմամբ՝ հարկադիր աշխատանքի դեմ պայքարի պատրվակով։ Դրանց չափը կկազմի 10%-ից մինչև 12,5%։ Սահմանափակող միջոցառումները կտարածվեն 60 երկրների, այդ թվում՝ Եվրամիության պետությունների վրա։ Նոր սակագները փաստացի կփոխարինեն ԱՄՆ ներմուծման վրա ժամանակավոր գլոբալ տուրքերին, որոնք ուժի մեջ էին մտել փետրվարի 24-ին՝ 150 օր ժամկետով։
