Կամբոջայում կասեցվել է կեղծ սիգարետների խոշորագույն արտադրություններից մեկը, որը կեղծ ապրանքներ էր արտադրում առաջատար միջազգային արտադրողների, այդ թվում՝ Philip Morris-ի, SPS CIGARONNE-ի, BAT-ի և KT&G-ի ապրանքանիշերի ներքո: Այս լայնածավալ գործողությունը հնարավոր է դարձել հեղինակային իրավունքի տերերի և իրավապահ մարմինների սերտ համագործակցության շնորհիվ:
. Ծավալներ. Ավելի վաղ արձանագրված նմանատիպ խոշորագույն գործողություններից մեկի ժամանակ առգրավվել է ավելի քան 35 տոննա պատրաստի կեղծ արտադրանք։
. Շուկայի վիճակը.Ծխախոտային ոլորտի փորձագետները նշում են, որ Կամբոջայում վաճառվող ծխախոտային արտադրանքի զգալի մասը՝ հնարավոր է մինչև 50%-ը, ստվերային կամ կեղծ է, ինչի պատճառով պետությունը տարեկան միլիոնավոր դոլարների հարկեր է կորցնում։
. Միջազգային հետք. Եվրահանձնաժողովի և միջազգային իրավապահ մարմինների տվյալներով՝ Կամբոջայում արտադրված կեղծ սիգարետները լայնորեն տարածվում են ոչ միայն տեղական շուկայում, այլև ապօրինի ճանապարհներով արտահանվում են այլ երկրներ։
Անօրինական արտադրությունը ոչ միայն հսկայական տնտեսական վնասներ է պատճառում, այլև անմիջական սպառնալիք է սպառողների առողջության համար: Արտադրողները խոստանում են շարունակել իրենց համատեղ, հետևողական ջանքերը ամբողջ աշխարհում՝ պատասխանատվության ենթարկելու, ինչպես այդ անօրինական գործողությունները կազմակերպողներին, այնպես էլ բաշխման շղթայի բոլոր մասնակիցներին՝ մեծածախ մատակարարներից մինչև կեղծ ապրանքներ վաճառող մանրածախ կետեր:
