Բահամյան կղզիներում 12-ամյա ամերիկացու վրա շնաձուկ է հարձակվել:
Ինչպես հաղորդում է CBS News հեռուստաալիքը, միջադեպը տեղի է ունեցել երեքշաբթի կեսօրին Էքսումա Քեյս արշիպելագի Սթենիել Քեյ կղզու մոտ, ուր երեխան ընտանիքի հետ եկել էր էքսկուրսիայի։
Բահամյան կղզիների ոստիկանության տվյալներով՝ տղան եղբոր հետ լողում էր ծովում, երբ մոտավորապես 15:30-ին նրա վրա շնաձուկ է հարձակվել։
Հարձակումից հետո տուժածին նավակով տեղափոխել են Նյու Փրովիդենս կղզի, որտեղ գտնվում է երկրի մայրաքաղաք Նասաուն։ Այնտեղ նրան բժշկական օգնություն են ցուցաբերել։ Չորեքշաբթի օրվա դրությամբ երեխայի վիճակը կայուն է։
Իշխանություններն առայժմ չեն հայտնել, թե կոնկրետ ինչ վնասվածքներ է ստացել տղան և շնաձկան որ տեսակն է մասնակցել հարձակմանը։
Էքսումա Քեյսը համարվում է Բահամյան կղզիների ամենահայտնի զբոսաշրջային շրջաններից մեկը։ Տեղի ջրերը գրավում են լողի, սնորքելինգի և դայվինգի սիրահարներին՝ շնորհիվ մարջանյան ռիֆերի, խորտակված նավերի և հարուստ ստորջրյա աշխարհի, ներառյալ՝ ծովային կրիաները, կատվաձկները և շնաձկները։
Չնայած Բահամները դասվում են շնաձկների չհրահրված հարձակումների ամենամեծ քանակն ունեցող երկրների շարքին, նման դեպքերը խիստ հազվադեպ են լինում։ Շնաձկների հարձակումների միջազգային արխիվի տվյալներով՝ վերջին 400 տարվա ընթացքում կղզեխմբում պաշտոնապես նման միայն 30 միջադեպ է արձանագրվել։
Վերջին տարիներին Բահամներում շնաձկների հարձակումների զոհ են դարձել բազմաթիվ զբոսաշրջիկներ ԱՄՆ-ից։ 2025 թվականի փետրվարին երկու ամերիկուհի հարձակման են ենթարկվել Բիմինի կղզու մոտ լողալիս, նրանցից մեկը ծանր վնասվածքներ է ստացել։
Նույն տարվա օգոստոսին 63-ամյա մի ամերիկացի լուրջ վիրավորվել էր Աբակո կղզու մոտ ստորջրյա որսի ժամանակ։ Էլ ավելի վաղ՝ 2024 թվականի հունվարին, շնաձուկը կծել էր Մերիլենդ նահանգից 10-ամյա մի տղայի ոտքը, իսկ 2023 թվականի դեկտեմբերին Բահամյան կղզիների ափերի մոտ մահացել էր Բոստոնից մի կին, որի վրա շնաձուկը հարձակվել էր թիավարմամբ լողատախտակով սահելու ժամանակ։
