Լաս Վեգասում ԴՆԹ-վերլուծության նոր տեխնոլոգիաների շնորհիվ 20 տարվա վաղեմության դաժան սպանություն է բացահայտվել

Ավելի քան 20 տարի անց Լաս Վեգասի ոստիկանությունը, ԴՆԹ-վերլուծության ժամանակակից տեխնոլոգիաների շնորհիվ, բացահայտել է սեփական բնակարանում հեռախոսի լարով խեղդամահ արված տղամարդու սպանությունը։ Բացահայտման մասին հաղորդում է CBS News հեռուստաալիքը։
Հանցագործությունը կատարվել էր 2005 թվականի դեկտեմբերին։ Այն ժամանակ բնակելի համալիրի կառավարիչը ոստիկանությանը հայտնել էր բնակարաններից մեկից տարածվող ուժեղ տհաճ հոտի մասին։ Դեպքի վայր ժամանած աշխատակիցները հայտնաբերել էին Դենիել Ցայսլերի դին։ Այդ պահին աճյունն արդեն գտնվում էր չափավոր քայքայման վիճակում։
Քննիչները պարզել էին, որ տղամարդը խեղդամահ է արվել հեռախոսի լարով։ Բնակարանից անհետացել էին նաև զոհի բանալիներն ու ավտոմեքենան՝ 1997 թվականի արտադրության Dodge Neon-ը։ Ավտոմեքենան լքված վիճակում հայտնաբերվել էր մի քանի շաբաթ անց Թենեսի նահանգի Մեմֆիս քաղաքում, սակայն սպանողի ինքնությունը պարզելու համար ոստիկանությունն այն ժամանակ բավարար ապացույցներ չուներ։
Ավտոմեքենայի զննության ժամանակ դատական փորձագետները հայտնաբերել էին ԴՆԹ-ի նմուշ, որը, ենթադրաբար, պատկանում էր հանցագործին։ Սակայն այդ ժամանակ գոյություն ունեցող տվյալների բազաներով ստուգումը ոչ մի արդյունք չէր տվել, և հետաքննությունը փաստացիորեն մտել էր փակուղի։
Բեկումը տեղի է ունեցել միայն 2024 թվականի սեպտեմբերին, երբ քննիչները որոշել են վերստին հետազոտել գենետիկական նյութը՝ օգտագործելով ԴՆԹ-ի տոհմաբանական վերլուծության ժամանակակից մեթոդները։ Մասնագետներին հաջողվել է ազգակցական կապ հաստատել նմուշի և ենթադրյալ սպանողի հարազատներից մեկի միջև։
Քննությունը նաև հանգել է այն եզրակացության, որ այդ տղամարդը սպանությունից կարճ ժամանակ անց հայտնվել է տեսախցիկների տեսագրություններում։ Ոստիկանության վարկածով՝ նա օգտագործել է Ցայսլերի ավտոմեքենան, դրանով հասել խանութ և վճարել զոհի բանկային քարտով։
Կասկածյալի անունը պաշտոնապես չի բացահայտվում։ Հայտնի է միայն, որ նա մահացել է 2020 թվականին, ուստի նրան քրեական պատասխանատվության ենթարկելն արդեն հնարավոր չէ։
Այդուհանդերձ, քննիչները հանցագործի ինքնության պարզումը համարում են կարևոր ձեռքբերում։ Ըստ նրանց՝ գործը չբացահայտված է մնացել ավելի քան երկու տասնամյակ և դարձել է ևս մեկ օրինակ այն բանի, թե ինչպես են ԴՆԹ-վերլուծության ժամանակակից տեխնոլոգիաները հնարավորություն տալիս բացահայտել նույնիսկ ամենահին հանցագործությունները։
Խուզարկու Թեյթ Սենբորնը, որը վերսկսել էր հետաքննությունը, ավելի վաղ ասել էր, որ համոզված է եղել գործի բացահայտման շանսերի հարցում։ Նա նշել է, որ ուսումնասիրելով նյութերը, ինքը հանգել է այն եզրակացության, որ կուտակված ապացույցները բավարար են ակտիվ աշխատանքը նորից սկսելու և մեղավորին պարզելու համար։
