Նևադայի անապատում կկառուցվի աշխարհի ամենամեծ Deep Synoptic Array ռադիոհեռադիտակային զանգվածը

ԱՄՆ Նևադա նահանգի անապատի հեռավոր հատվածում՝ Մեծ Ավազանի շրջանում, նախատեսվում է կառուցել աշխարհի ամենազգայուն ռադիոհեռադիտակային համակարգերից մեկը՝ Deep Synoptic Array զանգվածը, հայտնում է NBC News-ը։
Նախագիծն իրականացնում է Կալիֆոռնիայի տեխնոլոգիական ինստիտուտը (Caltech), որը անցյալ շաբաթ հաստատել է, որ բավարար ֆինանսավորում ստանալուց հետո անցնում է շինարարության փուլին։ Համալիրը կներառի 1650 առանձին ռադիոափսեներ, որոնք կմիավորվեն տիեզերքի դիտարկման միասնական համակարգում։
Գիտնականները մտադիր են կայանն օգտագործել գերծանր սև խոռոչների, պուլսարների՝ արագ պտտվող «մեռած» աստղերի, ինչպես նաև արագ ռադիոպայթյունների ուսումնասիրման համար, որոնք կարճատև, սակայն չափազանց հզոր ռադիոալիքային արտանետումներ են, որ գալիս են Տիեզերքի խորքերից։
Caltech-ի աստղագիտության պրոֆեսոր Գրեգ Հալլինանը նշել է, որ նախագծի յուրահատկությունը աննախադեպ քանակի ալեհավաքների մեջ է։ Նա նշել է, որ համակարգը թույլ կտա երկինքը սկանավորել առկա հեռադիտակներից մոտ 100 անգամ ավելի արագ և ստեղծել ամենաբարձր որակի ռադիոքարտեզներ։
Հալլինանը նաև ընդգծել է սպասվող տվյալների ծավալը․ աշխատանքի առաջին 24 ժամվա ընթացքում համակարգը կարող է կրկնապատկել մարդկությանը հայտնի տիեզերական ռադիոազդանշանների թիվը, որոնք այժմ կազմում են մոտ 20 միլիոն։
Զանգվածի յուրաքանչյուր ալեհավաքի տրամագիծը կլինի մոտ 6 մետր, իսկ ամբողջ համալիրը կզբաղեցնի ավելի քան 123 քառակուսի մղոն տարածք Նևադա նահանգի Ուայթ Փայն օկրուգում՝ ԱՄՆ Հողային ռեսուրսների կառավարման բյուրոյի վերահսկողության ներքո։
Նախագիծը գտնվում է համաձայնեցման փուլում, իսկ շինարարության մեկնարկը սպասվում է հաջորդ տարի։ Աշխատանքների ավարտը նախատեսված է 2029 թվականին։
Ի տարբերություն ավանդական առանձին ռադիոհեռադիտակների և կոմպակտ զանգվածների՝ նոր համակարգը կմիավորի երկու մոտեցումների առավելությունները՝ բարձր զգայունություն և պատկերի բարձր լուծաչափ։ Հետազոտողների համոզմամբ, Deep Synoptic Array-ը թույլ կտա ոչ միայն ֆիքսել թույլ ազդանշաններ, այլև ճշգրիտ որոշել դրանց աղբյուրը, որից հետո տվյալները կկարողանան օգտագործել օպտիկական, ինֆրակարմիր և ռենտգենյան աստղադիտարանները։
Նախագծի ֆինանսավորումը տրամադրել է Schmidt Sciences բարեգործական կազմակերպությունը, որը ստեղծել են Google-ի նախկին գլխավոր տնօրեն Էրիկ Շմիդտը և նրա կինը՝ Վենդին։
Գիտնականները նշում են, որ Նևադայում վայրի ընտրությունը կապված է ռադիոխանգարումների նվազագույն մակարդակի հետ։ Համակարգն այնքան զգայուն է, որ ունակ է ֆիքսել բջջային հեռախոսի ազդանշանը մինչև Արեգակ հեռավորության վրա, ուստի բնակավայրերից և ենթակառուցվածքներից հեռու լինելը դարձել է հարթակի ընտրության հիմնական գործոնը։
