Հայաստանը միանգամայն դրական է վերաբերում իր տարածքով իրանական գազի տարանցմանը Վրաստան: Այս մասին հայտարարեց ՀՀ էներգետիկայի և բնական պաշարների նախարարության մամուլի քարտուղար Վասակ Թարփոշյանը` «Արմենպրես»-ի խնդրանքով մեկնաբանելով տեղեկություններն այն մասին, որ Իրանն ու Վրաստանը բանակցություններ են վարում 200 մլն խորանարդ իրանական գազ Հայաստանի տարածքով Վրաստան տարանցելու ուղղությամբ: «Ինչպես հայտնի է, Իրան-Հայաստան գազատարը ներկայում շահագործվում է հզորության 15-20 տոկոսով»,-նկատեց Թարփոշյանը:
Ինչ վերաբերում է հարցին` արդյոք այդ հարցով կողմերից որևէ մեկը դիմել է Հայաստանին` ստանալու երկրի թույլտվությունը իր տարածքով գազի տարանցման համար, Թարփոշյանը նշեց, որ առայժմ Հայաստանին չեն դիմել: «Ենթադրվում է, որ դա կլինի կողմերի միջև վերջնական համաձայնության ձեռքբերումից հետո»,-ասաց նա:
Միջազգային լրատվամիջոցները, մեջբելերով Իրանի գազի արտահանման ազգայինընկերության գլխավոր տնօրեն Ալիռեզա Քամելիի խոսքը, տեղեկացրել էին, որԹեհրանն ու Թբիլիսին բանակցություններ են վարում 200 մլն խմ իրանական գազՎրաստան մատակարարելու ուղղությամբ: Այդ մասին բանակցություններն ընթացելեն Թեհրանում Իրանի նավթի նախարար Բիժան Նամդար Զանգանեի և Վրաստանիէներգետիկայի նախարար Կախա Կալաձեի մասնակցությամբ: Քամելինհայտարարել էր, որ ակնկալվում է Վրաստան գազամատակարարումներն սկսելհաջորդ իրանական տարում, որը կսկսվի մարտի 21-ին: Սկզբնական շրջանում պայմանագիրը կստորագրվի 7 ամսով, սակայն, ինչպես հայտարարել էր Քամելին, դրահամար նախ Վրաստանը պետք է թույլտվություն ստանա Հայաստանից՝ իր տարածքով գազի տարանցման համար:
