Այս տարի հայկական ծանրամարտի լեգենդ, Օլիմպիական խաղերի, աշխարհի 7-ակի, Եվրոպայի 5-ակի չեմպիոն Յուրի Վարդանյանը կդառնար 70 տարեկան։
ՀՀ կրթության, գիտության, մշակույթի և սպորտի նախարար Ժաննա Անդրեասյանը Կոմիտասի անվան զբոսայգու պանթեոնում ծաղիկներ է խոնարհել նրա շիրիմին՝ հարգանքի տուրք մատուցելով անվանի մարզիկի հիշատակին։
ԿԳՄՍ նախարարին ուղեկցել է Հայաստանի ծանրամարտի ֆեդերացիայի գլխավոր քարտուղար Սամվել Գասպարյանը։
Ծանրամարտի ֆեդերացիայի գլխավոր քարտուղարը նախարար Ժաննա Անդրեասյանին է հանձնել Հայաստանի ծանրամարտի ֆեդերացիայի՝ Յուրի Վարդանյանի անվան հուշամեդալ, որը թողարկվել է մարզիկի 70-ամյակի կապակցությամբ: Այն, մասնավորապես, նախատեսված է սպորտի նվիրյալներին, ինչպես նաև հայկական ծանրամարտի զարգացմանն ու առաջընթացին նպաստող գործիչներին շնորհելու նպատակով։
Ժաննա Անդրեասյանը կարևորել է ֆեդերացիայի տարաբնույթ նախաձեռնությունները՝ ուղղված անվանի մարզիկների հանրահռչակմանը, մարզաձևի զարգացմանն ու տարածմանը երիտասարդների շրջանում:
