ԱՄՆ-ի փոխնախագահ Ջոզեֆ Բայդենն ընդունել է, որ հանրապետական Դոնալդ Թրամպը պետության ղեկավարի ընտրությունները շահելու լավ հնարավորություններ ունի:
«Կարծում եմ՝ շատ հավանական է, որ նա կդառնա Հանրապետական կուսակցության թեկնածուն… Ես լրջորեն կընդունեի նրան որպես հնարավոր հաղթողի, որովհետեւ նա բորբոքում է ընտրողների վախերը»,- MSNBC հեռուստաալիքին տված հարցազրույցում հայտարարել է Բայդենը, որը, ինչպես եւ Օբաման, ներկայացնում է դեմոկրատներին:
Ավելի վաղ ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահ Բարաք Օբաման հայտարարել է, թե հույս ունի, որ միլիարդատեր Դոնալդ Թրամպն ԱՄՆ-ի նոր նախագահ չի ընտրվի: «Ես դեռ շարունակում եմ հավատալ, որ պարոն Թրամպը նախագահ չի դառնա: Ես դրա հույսն ունեմ, որովհետեւ հավատում եմ ամերիկացի ժողովրդին: Կարծում եմ՝ նա գիտակցում Է, որ նախագահ լինելը լուրջ աշխատանք Է»,- ասել Է նա մամուլի ասուլիսի ժամանակ: Նախագահի աշխատանքը, նշել Է Օբաման, «ոչ թոք-շոու Է եւ ոչ Էլ ռեալիթի-շոու, դա ոչ գովազդ Է եւ ոչ Էլ շուկայավարություն, դա ծանր աշխատանք Է», հաղորդել Է ՌԻԱ Նովոստին:
