Անտարկտիդան կորցնում է ձմեռային սառույցը

Գիտնականները արձանագրել են ձմեռային ծովային սառույցի կտրուկ կրճատում Անտարկտիդայի արևմտյան ափերի մոտ գտնվող Բելինգսհաուզենի ծովի շրջանում, հաղորդում է ABC հեռուստաալիքը։
Արբանյակային դիտարկումների տվյալներով, այս տարի այնտեղ չի ձևավորվել մոտ 650 հազար քառակուսի կիլոմետր սառույց, ինչը համադրելի է Ֆրանսիայի տարածքի հետ։
Ինչպես նշում են հետազոտողները, այս գոտին սովորաբար պետք է արդեն հունիսին պատված լիներ սառույցով, սակայն արբանյակային լուսանկարները ցույց են տալիս, որ ջրային տարածքի զգալի մասը մնում է գրեթե ամբողջությամբ ազատ սառույցից։
Տասմանիայի համալսարանի ծովային սառույցի մասնագետ Ուիլ Հոբսը նշել է, որ իրավիճակը լուրջ անհանգստություն է առաջացնում։ «Սա, անկասկած, տագնապալի է։
Հավանաբար, օվկիանոսային պայմաններն այժմ այլևս չեն նպաստում ձմեռային ծովային սառույցի նշանակալի ծավալների ձևավորմանը», — հայտարարել է նա։
Գիտնականները նշում են, որ Բելինգսհաուզենի ծովի շրջանը առանձնանում է օվկիանոսագրական յուրահատուկ պայմաններով․ համեմատաբար տաք ջրերը և հարավային օվկիանոսային հոսանքների հետ ակտիվ փոխազդեցությունը նպաստում են սառույցի ձևավորման կրճատմանը և սառցածածկույթի կորստին։
Ըստ հետազոտողների, սառույցի փոքր հատվածներ կարող են ավելի ուշ հայտնվել ձմեռային սեզոնի ընթացքում՝ այլ շրջաններից սառույցի տեղափոխման հաշվին, սակայն ընդհանուր միտումը վկայում է Անտարկտիդայի այս հատվածում սառցածածկույթի կայունության նվազման մասին։
Մասնագետները շեշտում են, որ Անտարկտիդայում ծովային սառույցի փոփոխությունները հատկապես նկատելի են դարձել 2023 թվականից, երբ արձանագրվել էր սառույցի տարածքի ռեկորդային ցածր ցուցանիշ։ Այդ ժամանակից ի վեր ցուցանիշները մնում են անկայուն՝ ցույց տալով կտրուկ տատանումներ։
Գիտնականները նաև նշում են, որ ծովային սառույցի կրճատումը կարող է ազդել տարածաշրջանի էկոհամակարգերի վրա, ներառյալ սառցային միջավայրից կախված տեսակները, ինչպես նաև անուղղակիորեն ազդել սառցադարակների դինամիկայի վրա, որոնք արդեն անմիջականորեն կապված են համաշխարհային օվկիանոսի մակարդակի բարձրացման հետ։
Հետազոտողների գնահատմամբ, ընթացիկ դիտարկումները համապատասխանում են այն սցենարներին, որոնք սպասվում են օվկիանոսի շարունակվող տաքացման պայմաններում, թեև ճշգրիտ մեխանիզմներն ու պատճառահետևանքային կապերը դեռ շարունակում են ուսումնասիրվել։
