CNN-ի հետաքննության համաձայն, որը հիմնված է արբանյակային լուսանկարների վերլուծության վրա, Իրանը ակտիվորեն վերականգնում է մուտքը իր ստորգետնյա հրթիռային բազաներ, որոնք վնասվել էին ԱՄՆ-ի և Իսրայելի հարվածների հետևանքով վերջին պատերազմի ընթացքում։

Հեռուստաընկերության տվյալներով, ամերիկյան և իսրայելական ռազմավարությունն ավելի շատ ուղղված էր ոչ թե հենց հրթիռային համալիրների ոչնչացմանը, այլ ստորգետնյա թունելների մուտքերի արգելափակմանը։ Ենթադրվում էր, որ փլատակներով փակված անցումները թույլ չեն տա իրանցի զինվորականներին օգտագործել ներսում գտնվող հրթիռներն ու արձակման կայանքները։

Սակայն արբանյակային լուսանկարները ցույց են տալիս, որ Իրանը արագորեն վերացնում է հարվածների հետևանքները։ CNN-ը ուսումնասիրել է 18 ստորգետնյա հրթիռային օբյեկտներում գտնվող թունելների 69 մուտք և եկել այն եզրակացության, որ առնվազն 50-ը արդեն մաքրվել են, իսկ մնացածներում վերականգնման աշխատանքները շարունակվում են։ Դրա համար օգտագործվում են բուլդոզերներ, ճակատային բեռնիչներ և բեռնատարներ։ Միաժամանակ վերանորոգվում են նաև ճանապարհներն ու ենթակառուցվածքները, որոնք վնասվել էին ռմբակոծություններից։

Իրանի արևմտյան հատվածում գտնվող օբյեկտներից մեկում, որտեղ ամերիկյան և իսրայելական ինքնաթիռները նախկինում փակել էին ստորգետնյա համալիրի բոլոր չորս մուտքերը, երկու անցում արդեն ամբողջությամբ բացվել է, իսկ ևս երկուսի մաքրման աշխատանքները շարունակվում են։ Փակվում են նաև ավիահարվածներից մնացած խառնարանները։

ԱՄՆ պաշտպանության նախարար Փիթ Հեգսեթը ավելի վաղ ընդունել էր, որ Թեհրանը աշխատանքներ է տանում վնասված օբյեկտների վերականգնման ուղղությամբ։ Միևնույն ժամանակ նա պնդում էր, որ Իրանը զրկվել է հրթիռների և արձակման կայանքների պաշարները լիարժեք համալրելու հնարավորությունից։

CNN-ի հարցին պատասխանած փորձագետները կարծում են, որ իրավիճակը ցույց է տալիս թունելների արգելափակման վրա հիմնված ռազմավարության սահմանափակումները։ Ըստ նրանց, մուտքերի ոչնչացումը կարող է տալ տակտիկական ազդեցություն, սակայն չի երաշխավորում Իրանի ամբողջ հրթիռային ենթակառուցվածքի երկարաժամկետ շարքից դուրս բերումը։
