Այսօր Երևան է ժամանելու ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղար Մարկո Ռուբիոն։ Ըստ Պետքարտուղարության՝ Ռուբիոն Երևանում 15:30-ին հանդիպում կունենա Արարատ Միրզոյանի հետ, իսկ 16:00-ին կմասնակցի փոխըմբռնման հուշագրի ստորագրման արարողությանը։ Հայաստանի արտաքին գործերի նախարարությունը երեկ հայտարարել է Ռուբիոյի այցի մասին՝ նշելով, թե հանդիպումից հետո նախարարները հանդես կգան մամուլի համար հայտարարություններով, ծրագրված է երկկողմ փաստաթղթերի ստորագրում։

Այդուհանդերձ, որքան էլ հանրությունը և փորձագիտական շրջանակները փորձում են կռահել, թե ինչ փաստաթղթերի մասին է խոսքը, ըստ մեր աղբյուրների՝ ընդամենը սովորական փոխըմբռնման հուշագիր է ստորագրվելու։

TRIPP-ի, ինչպես նաև ատոմային էներգիայի վերաբերյալ կոնկրետ փաստաթղթերի ստորագրում նախատեսված չէ, թեպետ ամերիկյան կողմն ամեն ինչ առաջ է մղում, որպեսզի TRIPP-ի վերաբերյալ բոլոր պայմանավորվածությունները հասցնի անդառնալիության կետի, որ եթե նույնիսկ Փաշինյանը պարտվի խորհրդարանական ընտրություններում, Միացյալ Նահանգների հետ պայմանավորվածությունները հօդս չցնդեն։ Ի դեպ, Ռուբիոն Հայաստան է գալիս Հնդկաստան կատարած այցից հետո և ընդամենը կարճ կանգառ է անելու։ Չի բացառվում, որ նույնիսկ այդ կանգառը լինի միայն «Զվարթնոց» օդանավակայանում։

Բացի Միրզոյանից, այլ անձանց հետ հանդիպումներ նախատեսված չեն։ Ըստ էության, ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղարի այս այցը կարելի է գնահատել որպես աջակցություն խորհրդարանական ընտրություններից առաջ։ Ավելին, շատ փորձագետներ նշում են, որ հայկական կողմն ինքն է դիմել ամերիկյան կողմին՝ ընտրություններից առաջ գոնե այսպիսի ֆորմալ աջակցության ժեստ ցուցադրելու նպատակով, քանի որ Եվրոպական քաղաքական համայնքի գագաթնաժողովն ու Ֆրանսիայի նախագահ Մակրոնի այցը ցանկալի քարոզչական էֆեկտը այդպես էլ չտվեցին Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին։

Ուստի, Ռուբիոն կարճ կանգառ կանի՝ հավաստելով իր աջակցությունը Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին։ Այս հանգամանքը իշխանությունն իր արբանյակներով ներկայացնում է որպես դիվանագիտական խոշոր ձեռքբերում, իրականում՝ բացարձակապես որևէ արժեք չունեցող այց է, և պրակտիկ էֆեկտներ այս այցից սպասել բոլորովին չարժե։
