dw.com–ն «Արդյո՞ք Փաշինյանի ռուսամետ մրցակիցները կզրկվեն ընտրություններին մասնակցելուց» վերնագրով հոդվածում գրում է, որ ընտրություններից առաջ Հայաստանում սկանդալ է մոլեգնում. Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը և ռուսամետ ընդդիմության անդամները միմյանց մեղադրում են դավաճանության մեջ: dw.com-ին հարցազրույց տված փորձագետները կարծում են, որ Փաշինյանի քաղաքական մրցակիցներին ընտրություններին մասնակցելուց լիովին զրկելու հավանականությունը փոքր է: Երևանում գտնվող Կովկասի ինստիտուտի տնօրեն Ալեքսանդր Իսկանդարյանն ասել է, որ իշխանությունների կողմից նման քայլեր ձեռնարկելու որևէ ռացիոնալ մոտիվացիա չի տեսնում։ «Նման որոշումները պահանջում են հնարավորություն, պատրվակ և դրդապատճառ, բայց ես չեմ տեսնում այնպիսի որևէ լուրջ սպառնալիք, որը իշխանությունները կընկալեն որպես այդպիսին, - նշել է հայ քաղաքագետը,– ավելին, եթե նրանք պլանավորեին իրականացնել մոլդովական սցենարի նման սցենար, դա կարվեր ավելի շուտ, չէր արվի ընտրություններից ընդամենը մի քանի շաբաթ առաջ: Ես չեմ կարծում, որ դա իրատեսական է»։
Այս համատեքստում վերլուծաբանները կարծում են, որ ընտրարշավի խախտումների և լրտեսության հետաքննությունների վերաբերյալ իրավապահ մարմինների պարբերական զեկույցները կարող են ծառայել որպես ընտրատեխնոլոգիական նպատակների տեսանկյունից: Ինչպես նշել է Իսկանդարյանը, նման քայլերը նպաստում են սոցիալական բևեռացման աճին, որը, ներկայիս պայմաններում, կարող է ամրապնդել գործող իշխանությունների դիրքերը։ «Նախ՝ դրա շնորհիվ իշխող կուսակցությունը ամեն օր գերիշխում է տեղեկատվական տարածքում: Երկրորդ՝ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի և «Քաղաքացիական պայմանագիր» կուսակցության ընտրազանգվածը բավականին լավ է մոբիլիզացված, հետևաբար, պառակտում ստեղծելու նպատակային ջանքերը կոնկրետ, հաշվարկված քաղաքական ռազմավարություն են», - եզրափակել է քաղաքագետը:
