«168 ժամ» թերթը գրում է. «ՀԱԿ անդամ, տնտեսագետ Վահագն Խաչատրյանը՝ պատասխանելով մեր թղթակցի հարցին՝ հնարավո՞ր է՝ 1 դոլարն անցնի 500 դրամի սահմանագիծը, ի՞նչ ազդեցություն կունենա դոլարի արեւորումը ՀՀ տնտեսության վրա, ասել է. «ԿԲ-ն ամեն ինչ կանի, որ չանցնի 500 դրամի սահմանը: Անցած տարվա միտումները հաշվի առնելով՝ տարին այնպիսին է, հատկապես երբ առեւտրի ծավալները կրճատվում են, ներմուծումներն էականորեն կրճատվել են 30 տոկոսով, դոլարի պահանջարկն այն չէ, ինչ 2013 կամ 2014 թվականներին:
Այս առումով, ԿԲ-ի կողմից այս լողացող փոխարժեքի քաղաքականության պայմաններում, ավելի հեշտ կառավարելի է կուրսը պահելը: Մեզ մոտ խնդիրն այն է, որ արժույթի կուրսով են պայմանավորված նաեւ գազի, էլեկտրաէներգիայի սակագները:
Մենք 32 տոկոս աղքատություն ունեցող, ներմուծումից կախվածություն ունեցող տնտեսություն ունեցող երկիր ենք, որտեղ դրամի կուրսի արժեզրկումը նշանակում է աղքատության մակարդակի բարձրացում, մեծ գնաճ: Ու այս պայմաններում, երբ ճնշում էլ չկա տնտեսության մեջ, որպեսզի դժվարություն լինի պահելը, կարծում եմ՝ 500-ի սահմաններում կմնա, չի բարձրանա»:
