Իրանի նախագահ Մասուդ Փեզեշքիանը հայտարարել է, որ երկիրը երբեք չի ենթարկվի որևէ ուժի և հանուն հարմարավետության չի զոհաբերի երկրի արժանապատվությունը:

Փեզեշքիանը նշել է, որ թշնամին, չկարողանալով ծնկի բերել Իրանին, այժմ փորձում է պառակտում սերմանել ժողովրդի և երկրի իշխանությունների միջև։

«Մենք չենք հպատակվի։ Ես երբեք չեմ խոնարհվի որևէ ուժի առաջ։ Մենք չենք զոհաբերի երկրի արժանապատվությունը հանուն հարմարավետության ձգտման և սեփական աշխարհիկ ցանկությունների, սակայն երկիրը կառավարելն անհրաժեշտ է խոհեմությամբ ու իմաստնությամբ»,- հավելել է նա։

Նա հայտարարել է նաև, որ թշնամիները սպանել են Իսլամական հեղափոխության առաջնորդ, այաթոլլա Սեյեդ Ալի Խամենեիին՝ առանց որևէ իրավական կամ իրավապաշտպան հիմքերի։

Նախագահը նշել է, որ սպանվել են իրանցի հրամանատարներ, նախարարներ ու գիտնականներ, ինչպես նաև անմեղ ուսանողներ։ Նա հավելել է, որ նրանք, ովքեր հայտարարում են մարդու իրավունքներին ու միջազգային իրավունքին հավատարմության մասին, հետևել են այս հանցագործություններին, սակայն որևէ կերպ չեն միջամտել։ «նրանք դա անում են բոլորի հետ։ Նայե՛ք Գազային և Պաղեստինին, թե ինչ վայրագություններ են նրանք գործում,- ասել է նա։ -Իսկ ամերիկյան լրատվամիջոցները արդարացնում են դա՝ պնդելով, թե նրանք գործում են ինքնապաշտպանության նպատակով»,- նշել է նախագահը՝ հավելելով, որ ցեղասպանությունն անվանում են ինքնապաշտպանություն. «Նրանք ուժ ունեն և անում են դա»։

Նախագահը շեշտել, որ փետրվարի 28-ին ԱՄՆ-ն ու Իսրայելը չհրահրված պատերազմ են սկսել Իրանի դեմ՝ սկսելով այաթոլլա Խամենեիի և մի շարք բարձրաստիճան զինվորական հրամանատարների սպանությունից։ Ի պատասխան, հայտարարել է նա, Իրանի զինված ուժերը 40 օրվա ընթացքում իրականացրել են հակահարվածների 100 ալիք՝ հարվածներ հասցնելով ամերիկյան և իսրայելական ռազմական օբյեկտներին և զգալի վնաս պատճառելով։

Նա հայտարարել է նաև, որ Պակիստանի միջնորդությամբ ապրիլի 8-ին ձեռք է բերվել երկշաբաթյա զինադադար, սակայն իրանական պատվիրակությունը Թեհրան է վերադարձել առանց համաձայնագրի՝ Վաշինգտոնի պարտավորությունները կատարելու պատրաստակամության հանդեպ անվստահության պատճառով։

Իրանը, նշել է նախագահը, ընդգծում է, որ հրադադարի շուրջ բանակցություններին ցանկացած վերադարձ հնարավոր է միայն ամերիկյան ծովային շրջափակման վերացման պայմանով։
