Հաշվի է առնվել ոսկու գինը այսօր Լոնդոնի մետաղական բորսայում։

1919 թվականի 19 միլիարդ ֆրանսիական ֆրանկի արժեքը այսօրվա դրամական միավորներով հաշվարկելը բավականին բարդ խնդիր է, քանի որ այն պահանջում է հաշվի առնել ոչ միայն գնաճը, այլև ֆրանկի դենոմինացիաները և եվրոյի ներդրումը։
Ահա հաշվարկի հիմնական փուլերը.

1. Ֆրանկի արժեզրկումը և դենոմինացիան

1919-ից մինչև 1960 թվականը ֆրանսիական ֆրանկը զգալի արժեզրկվել է։ 1960-ին իրականացվեց դենոմինացիա՝ 1 «նոր» ֆրանկը = 100 «հին» ֆրանկի։ Այնուհետև, 2002-ին ֆրանկը փոխարինվեց եվրոյով՝ 1 եվրո = 6,55957 ֆրանկ փոխարժեքով։

2. Գնաճի հաշվարկը (Purchasing Power)

Ֆրանսիայի վիճակագրության և տնտեսական հետազոտությունների ազգային ինստիտուտի (INSEE) տվյալների և պատմական գնաճի գործակիցների համաձայն՝ 1919 թվականի 1 ֆրանկը իր գնողունակությամբ այսօրվա (2024-2025 թթ.) համեմատությամբ մոտավորապես հավասար է 1,5-ից 2 եվրոյի (կախված հաշվարկման մեթոդից և սպառողական զամբյուղից)։
Եթե վերցնենք միջինացված գործակիցը.

19 միլիարդ ֆրանկ (1919 թ.) × 1,8 (գնողունակության գործակից) ≈ 34,2 միլիարդ եվրո։

3. Համեմատություն ոսկու ստանդարտով (ավելի օբյեկտիվ մեթոդ)

Քանի որ 1919-ին արժույթները դեռ կապված էին ոսկու հետ, հաճախ ավելի ճշգրիտ է հաշվարկել ոսկու պարունակությամբ.
1914-1919 թթ. 1 ֆրանկը (Germinal franc) համարժեք էր մոտ 0,29 գրամ մաքուր ոսկու։

19 միլիարդ ֆրանկը = 5,510 տոննա ոսկի։

Այսօր ոսկու 1 կիլոգրամը արժե մոտ 140,000 ։

5,510,000 կգ × 140,000 եվրո ≈ 771 միլիարդ եվրո։

Հետևաբար, խոսքը գնում է ահռելի գումարի մասին, որն այսօրվա Հայաստանի ՀՆԱ-ն գերազանցում է տասնյակ անգամներ։
