ԱՄՆ-ում սկսել են պայքար «ծննդաբերական տուրիզմի» դեմ՝ նպատակ ունենալով սահմանափակել օտարերկրացիների կողմից երկրում ծննդաբերելու դեպքերը։ Reuters-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ ԱՄՆ ներգաղթի և մաքսային ծառայությունը (ICE) նախաձեռնել է գործողություններ նման սխեմաների դեմ։
Նշվում է, որ խոսքը վերաբերում է այն դեպքերին, երբ օտարերկրացիները մուտք են գործում ԱՄՆ զբոսաշրջային վիզայով և ծննդաբերում երկրում՝ երեխայի համար քաղաքացիություն ստանալու նպատակով։ ICE-ի աշխատակիցներին հանձնարարվել է հայտնաբերել այն ընկերություններին և միջնորդներին, որոնք օգնում են կազմակերպել նման գործընթացներ։
