Սինգապուրում 51-ամյա տղամարդը, որին կնոջ ամուսինը բռնել է մեքենայում՝ մերկ վիճակում, վրաերթի է ենթարկել նրան և հայտնվել բանտում։ Այս մասին հայտնում է Mothership-ը։

Դեպքը տեղի է ունեցել 2024 թվականի հունիսի 29-ին։ Չիա Հիոկ Սիա անունով տղամարդը կայանված ավտոմեքենայում գտնվել է իր սիրուհու հետ․ երկուսն էլ մերկ են եղել։ Կնոջ ամուսինը՝ Գո Յուն Շենը, նկատել է նրանց, մոտեցել մեքենային, փորձել բացել դռները, ապա բարձրացել է մեքենայի վրա։

Վախեցած սիրեկանը գործի է դրել շարժիչը և շարժվել՝ անմիջապես բախվելով խոչընդոտին։ Արդյունքում Շենը ընկել է մեքենայից՝ ստանալով դեմքի պատռվածք, կրծքավանդակի, ձեռքի և ծնկի վնասվածքներ։ Ավելի ուշ նրան տրվել է 14-օրյա հիվանդանոցային թերթիկ։ Նա դատի է տվել մրցակցին։

Ապրիլի 6-ին Սիան դատապարտվել է վեց շաբաթ ազատազրկման, տուգանվել է 1000 սինգապուրյան դոլարով, ինչպես նաև մեկ տարով զրկվել է վարորդական իրավունքից։ Բացի այդ, նրան պարտավորեցրել են անցնել ալկոհոլիզմի բուժում։

Դատարանը մերժել է ամբաստանյալի այն պնդումները, թե իր գործողությունները պայմանավորված էին վախով և ինքնապաշտպանությամբ։ Դատավորը նաև նշել է, որ Շենը նախկինում խնդրել էր նրան չսրել իրավիճակը, սակայն Սիան շարունակել է գաղտնի հանդիպումները նրա կնոջ հետ՝ անգամ նրանց տան մոտ։

Գործի հրապարակումից հետո Սիան կորցրել է աշխատանքը։ Շենի կինը որևէ պատասխանատվության չի ենթարկվել։
